That draft thing where Kessel got picked last? How does that thing work anyway? Everybody plays in the game anyway, right?
- rockychocbill

Yep. The Capts pick players, guy who goes last gets a car. I hope that this year Ovechkin goes last, because he was such a douchebag to Kessel last year

It's safe to say both Lupul and Versteeg would have been better then Jagr

Typical NJ/Flyers game.

I wonder if Flyguy's daughter is asleep yet.

He was trying to get to the puck, but he made no effort to avoid the goalie. I would have called both of them. Briere for interference and Fatso for diving.
- Jsaquella

wish there were more diving calls made. Some of these guys should be playing soccer with the way they "accentuate"

D-man Alexander Ryazantev records a 114.127 MPH shot at KHL skills comp. Chara's NHL record was 105.

It's a fantasy draft. Like pick-up hockey. Two captains each pick their teams. The whole, pond hockey element that they're trying to bring back.

I would have called both, personally. The NHL has probably told them to be more aware of the crease after the bruhaha with Lucic and Miller.
- Jsaquella

but lucic body checked miller, briere skated thru the crease and brodeur stuck himself in danny's way, huge difference. the contact between them was not only caused by the goalie, but was extremely minimal and irrelevant to the play.

In watching the replay, Brodeur sold it, and the ref bought it. In real time, it's much harder to call.
Also you should read the rules on Goaltender interference. You'll be surprised what you read, in terms of your statement about the contact being caused by the Goalie.

glad i decided to stay home today rather than schlep through the lousy weather to see this (frank)ing snoozefest.

good lord, if they play with this kind of energy tomorrow it will be another drubbing.

earth to the flyers: move your feet and stop reversing the puck.

So east captain can pick west conference players and vice versa? All players are in a pool?

It looked to me like Briere was pissed about being knocked on his ass and tried to get away with a little elbow to Broduer's head. He didn't get away with it.

very sharp.

in other news, giroux continues to make bad decisions/executions with the puck in a defensive posture.
