Pacioretty is anything but a douche, he did apologize to Letang - Traceur
Just because you say you are sorry does not mean you automatically are not a jerk. The hit was inexcusable in my opinion and it cost us what 5-6 weeks without our best defenseman? I am not a Periocitty fan. After being clubbed by Chara he should be more aware. I appreciate him for his apology but it does not absolve him from the act itself. |

Well aware of what Malkin has done, no need to watch it. Like I said in my last post, Malkin has dropped the gloves, ans will do it again in the future I'm sure.
The point for tonight is Max injured Letang and was deemed of an illegal play that caused a suspension. Tonight he should pay, just like Richards for booth, Cooke for Savard, etc, blah, blah.
Malkin nhas never been suspended for his actions, granted he could have been in the Cup finals a couple of years back. |

Helpful hint: dont look to Don Cherry for reassurance of your point when it comes to anyone not from North America. Its like asking Conrad Murray the best way to help get some sleep. |

So then the next time Malkin throws a cheapshot hit, which he has done before then he should have to man up and fight right? - Rtt19
No one is immune to that.not Malkin not Sid. As long as its not a goon its OK with me. You play reckless you man up. |

I really don't see any point in fighting with Max, we can easily win the game without the fight and risking another injury. Max apologized and the hit looked accidentally enough I really don't think he had an intention of hurting Letang. |

How does fighting take away from our chances of winning. I believe we fought in every game on this win streak. |

Fighting for the sake of fighting can take away from momentum. It may not cause a loss but it can. |

Your fighting for your teammate. I'd be disappointed if no one steps up |

Not if they get it done with in the first minute. Similar to Bourque and Hendricks the other night. Bourque knew it was coming, Hendricks knew what his role in the situation was and they go it over with.
If it's a dragged out thing I agree with you. In a game earlier this season the team was up 2-0 and Asham fought off a face off and it gave the Islanders (I believe) a boost. It was poor time to fight. If the Penguins want revenge they have to get it early. If Pacioretty isn't willing then they have to let it go and focus on the game. |

The point of fighting in this sort of scenario, in my own opinion, is let the other team know that if someone else attempts this kind of a hit they will have to pay. Since Pacioretty didn't intend to injury and the Habs aren't the kind of team that are going to try to push us around I really don't see the point. |

To let everyone not just the Canadians know you gotta man up if you cheapshot our players. You ever play sports? When someone does something dirty to one of my teammates I want redemption. |

You think that the pens would trade Niskanen for Malone? |

I have played sports and I understand that you want to defend your teammate in those kinds of situations but I think you have realize the intent of the hit as well. |

God I would hope so. I like Niskanen but Malone is exactly what we need. Unfortunately the money wouldn't work. How about Martin for Malone? |

This is hockey, the only Saint (St.) I know plays for Tampa Bay. Malkin's temper is both a blessing and a curse. When he is pissed he plays like he is possessed. When he is frustrated he takes dumb penalties.
Honestly, if anyone else thinks taking runs at Malkin (Dubinsky from last night) is going to throw him off his game is sadly mistaken. You are more than likely going to see his vengeance taken out on the scoreboard. GENO IS ON FIRE!
Last nights game was what I've been waiting for. Finally some team grit showed up. Great responses by the teams bigger checkers hitting Richards, and that dbag Dubinsky. It seemed like the Rangers stopped running Malkin at every chance, although Letang took a few heavy checks. I wish we had the McIntyre size to deal with Boyle, Prust and Rupper...too bad that guy can't play for sh%t.

Doesn't help us and would probably cost us Neal in the long run. I think martin will be dealt at some point but I think it will be to free up cap space |

So I just saw a clip on TSN Sportcenter where HCDB said he's pulling rank on Letang and telling him he is not to engage in fisticuffs. So it's up to someone else like Tangradi or Adams. |
