yeah...that would be brilliant...coming out from a concussion, and going into a fight.
Reminds me...what the hell was he doing, coming right back on the ice if he was concussed? With all that is happening to Crosby right now, you would think your team's management would take these things seriously. - stinger67
That was why I am wondering. Letang knows that he came back from a concussion and he knows the risks involved in fighting. So is he willing to take that risk upon himself to extract his pound of flesh or will someone else like Adams, Tangradi or Kunitz take it upon themselves to step in for their mate.
At the same time I wonder if Pacioretty is willing to man up for his actions. I remember him complaining about how unjust the suspension was. I wonder how unjest the Penguins feel it was that Letang has missed 21 games while Pacioretty although he served his 3 games he complained about it and stated "that he isn't sure when he can hit".
As for the medical staff, I have no idea. Remember he broke his nose on the hit as well, and they more than likely focussed more on fixing his face. The symptoms of the concussion didn't show for a few days at the Penguins next practice. Remember Letang wasn't unconscious after the hit, he looked dazed but that can be connected to the broken face. |

still, it's up to management to decide. I really think they (frank)ed up. - stinger67
Well, hindsight being 20/20, that's pretty easy to say now. No further damage done, he's back, and we are hopefully rolling on from here. |

I thought he deserved a suspension, and he got one. He probably was pissed to see he was suspended and that the league didn't even gave a slap on the wrist to Chara last year. That's life, I guess. Anyway, he's been on a slump since that suspension. I don't even think I saw Pacioretty throw a body check since then. |

Who knows a fight against a Habs player might build his confidence. I don't think that I've seen a Hab win a fight since Knuckles Nilan played for them. - Ben37

Pacioretty is a dousche. He supposedly apologized to Letang after the game at the time of the original injury. Whatever. Maybe pacioretty should take it out on Chara not Letang. If he tries anything on anyone look for Hellboy to come down from the rafters for justice! - powerhouse
Pacioretty is anything but a douche, he did apologize to Letang |

If he's watching the habs play this year, he's even dumber than I thought, even habs fans don't watch much habs hockey
EDIT: but good for you stepping up for your fellow poster like that |

We keep to ourselves here, and while we may have our own opinions and quirks, we would rather talk with others about the game instead of being trolled. If we can do it with Flyer fans, we should be able to do it with you guys too. IMO |

I forgot Carey Price won his fight against Thomas. Hell when Subban and Plekanec went in practice it was ruled a draw. They can't even beat each other in a fight. |

I don't think even Shero knows until Sid situation clears up some. I would say things will move on that front after the ASG.
I don't think I would take him, however. doesn't impress. |

ah ok lol
Pacs isn't a fighter, if he is forced to drop the gloves, he will only hang on to the guy IMO. I saw him "fight" once this year and that's all he did. He never fought before the NHL (NCAA rules) |

In the last 5 Pens games, they have been in a scrap in each first period. It has gotten the fire back under them IMO. (Also cost us Asham for a while) I think they will try to make it six in a row. Players and teams are creatures of habit, right? |

Bourque was redemption for cheapshot similar to this. Pac has no choice. Hopefully someone gets him with a few good ones. |

So then the next time Malkin throws a cheapshot hit, which he has done before then he should have to man up and fight right? |

Don't act like you don't know how it goes, when has Malkin hurt some one? You hurt someone like Chara did, and like Max did, you pay the piper. And he has dropped the gloves, he wanted to with Vinny on Sunday, but Vinny pussed out as usual.
Cooke has answered the bell too. It's the way it is.
Max needs to be ready to man up |
