Not really a bright spot, He turns the puck over alot/ bad +/- player.
He's -8 in the last three games with two shots on goal.

- Flynox

Did you by change watch the games and also read what I wrote above?
Probably not.

He's playing out of position due to all the injuries and the most of the team is playing so badly that he can only cover up for so many failures.

Would the play of Shaw and Hayes perhaps sway them toward spending a little more on D?

They could also deal Jordan to an other team after the season if they wanted to as well.

- kingcong39

With the uncertainty of how the CBA shakes out, teams won't be going out of their way to add "role" guys with multiple years left unless they absolutely have to. Also, trying to trade Leopold after the season wouldn't be the easiest thing either. I'd imagine some team would lose their ass trying to give that contract away.

I think the most glaring need for the Hawks, and some other teams is defense. I'm not saying Leopold doesn't have any value. I just don't think he fits here in Chicago.

Correct...but who cares?

Most of Scott's fights are pointless, staged, and hold very little influence on the game itself.

Rupp said it best in 24/7 when yelling at Shelley, it was something like...Shelley asks Rupp to drop the gloves and Rupp says, "You are (frank)ing irrelevant, if you had any influence on the game I'd fight you"

- HawkFan27

Good point. Most of what Scott has ever done is irrelevant.

Speaking of Rupp/Shelley....love this classic encounter between Dave Brown and Tim Hunter in the 80's...i posted on the last blog, so why not one more time.

Great stuff. Have to listen carefully though. Enjoy.

That's a blessing with the way they have been playing!

Also, Leopold was +2 going into the last 3 game stretch where the team was guaranteed to get crushed.

+2 is a miracle on the Sabres with how terrible they have been.

The CBA is an excellent point, and with Don Fehr running the show now, it's quite scary what will take place. He LOVES posturing and doesn't care how long it lasts or what it does to the fans who enjoy watching the game so much.

Whatever comes of that, it's going to be "interesting." I hope both sides have learned from the last work stoppage that another one like that could very well kill the game.

My guess is the Hawks wanted someone with more experience in the 4th line role. I like Dowell, but I'm much happier with Mayers.

Sorry, couldn't resist another classic....this is Kevin Stevens and Brian Trottier heckling Brian Bellows in the '91 Cup. It's a pretty famous clip so many might have seen it. Still, great.

I believe both sides have learned from the mistakes of the past, but the one person who could care less about all of that is the one in charge, and that is the frightening part.

How about Moore, Bergeron and Kubina for Bickell and a pick or prospect?

I'd give up Bickell and a pick for Moore and Kubina in a heatbeat! You can keep Bergeron.

In charge? Are you referring to the Commish...or Don Fehr? Knowing his history the later makes me more nervous.

Bergeron is a PP guy, but ok. You think they'll resign Emery and move Crawford?

Could be either I suppose. Until there's a new deal I reserve the right to be....let's say nervous.
