Looking at the replay about 1,000 times by now, it seems that everyone on the ice knew it was a goal - especially the Flyers.

Only the refs, benches, fans in the building, and the vat TV audience didn't.

Actually, not sure Niemi knew: he seemed a little concerned with Kane coming at him.

Score center just informed that there's no score at the end of the first period.

Sharpie to Nashville for Suter. I doubt these clubs want to trade with each other, but if Bowman could talk to Suter's agent(tampering?) and see if he'll sign here for 4.5M next season, that would be a sick top 4 D we would have. I'm sure Ryan would love to wear his uncle's sweater.

You are about $1.5MM/yr too low for what Suter will get on his next deal.

No way Nashville trades him. Suter + Weber + Rinne are why they are competitive in the league. I suspect their ownership will find the money to keep them all.

Yeah all that added stategy involved with actually having to plan our bullpen moves is really dull. Why do AL teams even need a manger? He doesn't really do anything. I will never watch an AL game unil they ban the DH. No credibility.
- Ogilthorpe2

Ogie, no offense, but it's baseball, not chess. Handling a bullpen isn't as tough as Tony LaRussa would make you believe. I really liked him, when he managed the Sox, but the more wins, the larger the ego, especially with the media calling him "genius", and kissing his ass. The object of the game is to score one more than your opponent, just like hockey. I prefer a fair amount of offense, in either game. And, it's not that I don't appreciate a hockey shut-out, or a no-hitter in baseball. I do, and all the more, because they should be rare. To me watching the Devils, Wild, or Preds, is like watching soccer. The action(or lack thereof) is always in the middle of the pitch/rink. Seriously BORING!

When I see the replay of the celebration behind the Hawks net I like how Brouwer looks back towards the Flyers net like, is that really a goal?

The problem has been with all of them, the original call on the ice has been "no goal" - and the replays (like tonite) have been inconclusive.

I think thye lead the league in over ruled goals and so called "quick whistles.

How about that a couple rare events tonight: 2nd PP goal for dman by Keith and a Kane goal.

Looks Andrew "the Legend" Shaw euphoria takes a nite off.

Do I dare say Hawks get their 1st shut out tonight.

Poni traded from the Canes to the Devils for defenseman Joe Sova and a 4th in 2012.

We all knew they were sellers, but if they are moving pieces now time to strike.

Based on this, no they won't. Never bring that up. Emery just got a goal against him in the 3rd.....

I don't think they've been that impressive tonight.. Sloppy game by both teams IMO.

Maybe it's just me but I think they have more faith in Emery that's why they seem to play better...

Just messing with ya, actually kinda helps me. Playing against Razor in fantasy, not giving up a whitewash is fine with me.

Panthers had nothing tonight:

1. No goal mouth scrums.

2. No transition odd man rushes

3. No sustained zone time

4. Was Kopy even playing...only heard his name once or twice?

Nice game for the Hawks...not dominate but responsible and burried there chances.

He picked what would have been a pretty pass from Kane to Toews out of mid-air early in the game, preventing Toews from getting in alone on Theodore. Other than that, I didn't notice him.

Edit: apparently he did get an assist on the FLA goal...so there's that too.
