Just look at how much each player gets paid
the teams have to make it work for cap reasons

Why would Montreal do this?

I would rather have Eller than Roy.
I would rather have Subban than Myers.

::EDIT::
Actually if I was montreal I would rather have Myers. They need all the size they can get.

But if I hear correctly from Buffalo fans Roy is a poison, and I wouldn't want him on my team if that's true.

but then again engels wouldnt trade subban for parise or getzlaf straight up

The game against washington,

They showed a clip of gauthier and he just shrugged his shoulders and laughed as if he was purposely destroying the team OR he was so frustrated that he thought oh what the hell might as well laugh at the 21,000+ who give us there money for NOTHING.

If you want to give your money away habs fans, come watch a true hockey player with heart play. ME, You can watch me and pay me 20 bucks per game tuesday and thursday morning.

I am 23 years old, can play ever position including goalie and I can play with the best of the best.

I'm hearing Roy and Myers for Eller and Subban
- HabsRUs

If it was a player decisin I would make that deal however from a busoiness point of view Habs couldn't do that. Myers is about to go to $5.5 and Roy makes $4.0. Right now Subban is looking for less than $4.0 and Eller will be under $2.0 million.

Thats too much salary for a team already with cap restraints.

Without the money however and I love it. Drool at the thought of a Tinordi-Myers duo for a few years.

What a joke, What do we need him for.

Gomez is ten times better... who cares he makes 7 mill he is worth every penny when you give him a team to play with.

We NEED to make a run for RYAN KESLER

OR mikko koivu.

And the only thing worth going the other way for those teams is thomas plekanec

- gillings

Kesler and Koivu are the same for sure

If there is truth to this then maybe Roy is a security blanket if there are intentions to trade Plekanec?

Yea both big bodies who know how to drive the net, set up people and throw a check. Not bad hands on either of them and they can play offensively and defensively.

But wait, You think if montreal wanted to win they would do something about have a midget team.

lol, no problem...

In all honestly, he hasn't been that bad, but he just isnt a long-term solution at all. Wouldn't mind him being shipped off this deadline for some assets, but more likely next year... Still only a 2 year deal in the end, so no big loss..

Roy will net you something nice. My prediction? You clean up in a deal with MTL

Man, what is it with the Habs boner for undersized forwards?

I've never understood that. This is the exact player that Montreal already had in Cammallerri but with less scoring ability.

In other words- he'll be a perfect fit in the Montreal organization

Other thing to keep in mind is that Gauthier specifically came out and said this week that they will get bigger.....granted Roy over Desharnais is getting bigger but is that really what they had in mind?

It would sort of make sense because if you listen to how plekanec is talking, How he isn't showing up for optionals, how he is playing you would think that he may want out.

I think he is afraid of subban and actually feels bullied by the team right now.

Subban is an IDIOT who needs to SHUT THE FRANK up and start playing more offense and scoring goals. He is one of the only guys that can rush the puck and create a scoring chance, OTHER THAN GOMEZ AND COLE LOLOLOLOL
