I agree that is exactly what I see Schenn developing into if he had the right mentor to show him the offensive side. Phaneuf isn't it.

A guy who's avg 65 points a season is not a point per game player.
- habby

Actually, if he plays 65 games a season, and scores 65 points per season, guess what???? That's a point per game!!!! Perhaps you're not aware of how rates work?

I said NEAR a point per game. He's got 318 points in 350 games in his last 5 seasons. That's pretty close.

Even at 65 points per season, that's a PILE more than Eller.

Another small talented center is exactly what the Habs DON'T need.

Plekanec is a #2 center.
Desharnais is a #2 center.
Eller is on his way to become a #2 center.

The Habs need to sacrifce one of these 3 in a package to get a REAL #1 center. I'm sold to Desharnais as a solid #2 center and I think Plekanec's value is better so I guess it COULD be Plek.

I still doubt they would do that kind of deal prior to trade deadline. This more like a deal you do on Draft Day...

IMO the only person Schenn would reach his full potential with is Pronger. That is exactly who he needs to idolize and become like. If you guys got him and Pronger became his mentor full time, you guys win the JVR for Schenn trade hands down.

Schenn doesn't need a mentor, he needs natural ability.

First line center for the habs? Guy is already well acquainted with the Stanley Cup so that has to count for something.....

As in there is a point in every game he makes me
A) rip out my hair
B) Get a fresh beer
C) Become a NBA fan
