OK, but what I was saying was that a lot of the criticisms that JvR is getting now, especially not being physical enough or using his size as well as he should be, we also laid on LeClair when he was a Hab.

Too soft, doesn't go to the net all the time, not a good skater...all that was said about LeClair when he was in Montreal.

I agree. JVR showed he has Power Forward elements to his game in the playoffs last year, as he drove the puck to the net. It's very difficult to play like a Power Forward when you have injuries to your core. Why some are unwilling to take that into consideration, I don't know. All the variables have to be taken into consideration. And let a player develop.

JVR has played 37 games. Before the injury, he had 8 goals in 20 games. After the injuries, 3 goals in 17 games.

To be honest, I will be highly upset if he is traded.

Well so far in their careers they are turris has been on fire since he went to Ottawa that's the only thing I worry about trading jvr is that he will kill it once he leaves

So Turris' 16 games in Ottawa + whatever you like to call what he did in Phoenix trumps JVR's success thus far as a Flyer?

I would like a crate of whatever your smoking.

The average total ice time between the two isn't as much as you would think and JVR has a 20 goal season to his career... I think its clear that at this point in their career, JVR is better.

I just think trading jvr is not as bad as an idea as everyone thinks. I mean look at all the young guns we got now if jvr can get us a dman with some serious up side and a pick or even if jvr got us an elite dman homer should jump at it honestly I would trade jvr before I traded any picks for this upcoming draft

Or we can just keep JVR and draft a couple defensemen, since this is a deep draft comprised mostly of players from that position.

....make it two crates.

We have a lot of young guns with potential. But I caution everyone by pointing out there were many all over Flyerland calling for Hartnell to be traded because of what Simmonds was doing. IE, trade him because of all the young guns we have around.

The only deal the Flyers should make, is trade a prospect or picks for a depth defenseman.

Let the youngins...all of them...grow this season. Shore up the team in FA, and make a run at the cup for years to come.

Agreed... and not one of the so called young guns has played a full NHL season or played in the playoffs... JVR has done both.

And if you look at it one of jvr and jake v has to go they don't have enough cap space next year for both especially if they want to improve the d

Not an issue with Pronger likely on LTIR and Jagr taking a small pay cut.

edit: And if Jagr asks for more money, he clearly goes before Voracek or JVR.

If they don't have space for both JVR and Jake V next year, how are they going to have the space for the return for JVR (you said you wanted a stud D man) and Jake V?

Every player takes his own path. Turris seems to have new life on a new team. I'll judge JVR when I know he's healthy.
