So we're over half way through the season and Hartnell is our leading goal scorer.

No disrespect to Scotty because he's played well and deserves it, but who would have guessed this at the start of the season? Not me.

- rockychocbill

I'm not going to say that I knew Hartnell would be our leading scorer, I don't think anyone could have guessed but I'll say this. I expected a lot more of Briere. I expected Schenn to be in the running for the calder but neither has happened but guys like Hartnell, Couturer and Read have picked up the slack. Coming into the season, I thought Briere would be our lead scorer. This season should have been a free for all for players who were playing behind Carter and Richards.

Woo Hooo and yes I have been told I can piss people off like a champ, which I think thats why Crims will no longer wanna play me
- bigmookalookie

I'm fine with losing, I just can't stand beating myself up. My own mistakes. I especially enjoy being challenged. Why pick on players I know I can beat.
Anyway, heading on now.

after careful consideration I have erred against booking that silly remark to save you from future heartache
- JoeRussomanno

do you really think its that absurd?

the eagles blew like 5 fourth quarter leads last year. they'll upgrade on defense. pretty much everything that could go wrong last year went wrong

they'll rally around andy like they always do and bounce bank

Super Bowl or bust. This next season will determine everything for Big Red.

Big Red has had the talent to win here. There is no more excuses get it done. Only time will tell but thats 50/50. Eagles could win before his coaching career is over.

I expected Giroux to be No. 1 (which he most likely will end up) with Briere close behind. Jagr and Voracek were question marks for me. Still lots of hockey to played. I think they will turn it on again after the AS break.

One question. Bad luck or self inflicted wounds?

No biggie Ried only hired a O.C. to be the D.C.... Makes perfect sense... also why would the eagles want to get a good LB.. I mean they dont do poop ever.. right? RIGHT??

I just want to let you know that NHL 12 is so accurate.

1. Jody Shelley scored shorthanded.

2. Jody Shelley scored on a breakaway.

Two separate incidents.

I think the eagles biggest problem as a group was the fact that they thought they were the best team, and didnt need to give their all. They played with an ugly attitude.. as individuals.

After they were 4-8 (or whatever)you could see things changing..

If you follow and read the commentary of Ray Didinger and Brian Baldinger. They'll tell you that things didn't really change much all year.

I take it this has already been discussed but the rumour by EK of Vorecek to LA for prospects & picks and cap space is ridiculous. Unless there is something bigger in the making and those young assets are involved that other move it is absurd. I mean, think before you make stuff up- make it believable at least.

Ray Didinger also knows his football as well. I saw alot of the play he broke down and it was bad.. also Ray said that nothing changed except for the fact that the Eagles faced garbage teams at the end.. Next year will be the same

Ehh, I dont know about off the field, but I think things certainly changed on the field.. I dont think everything changed, but the defense certainly started to come together after that Sea Hawks game. I hate the revolving wheel that is the Defensive coordinator. Let somebody work with the players and build a team defense.

The biggest problem coming into the season was the fact that Juan was made D- coordinator , yet the defensive scheme was created for Washburn. Handcuffs the coordinator.

I would like to see Juan back next year, and to see the changes he makes back there. He is a super smart guy...

EDIT: Not a fan of either of those guys to be honest.
