Absolutely. Meszaros has a hard shot, it's not ideal because it isn't accurate, but it's the best option right now, Kimmo is a solid PP guy, he racks up a ton off assists. Playing Carle on the PP is a waste; that limp noodle shot of his is blocked a good amount of the time. Carle has played well this year, but playing on the PP isn't one of his strengths.

This may sound crazy but I would like to see Gustafsson get some time on the PP. The forward at the point needs to end after tonight.

I don't think Sestito would provide much offense, but at least he can skate and can keep up with play. Having the Geico caveman on the 4th line with Couturier and Harry Z is just ridiculous on every level.

If you read back a few pages you will see that puts you in the category with the rest of us as losers.

His passing/handling of the puck is good though. If the use someone else as the primary point trigger I think he's alright back there.

I prefer Carle to a Forward without question.

Take it for what it's worth and I know most of you don't think a lot, but Incarcerated Bob just tweeted that Maple Leafs are telling Homer that it's Schenn for JVR and Read. I'd tell Burke to (frank) off!

Burke must be smoking ome crazy poop in Toronto (frank) him

Not crazy at all. I'm in favor of any d-man instead of a forward.

Absolutely. And he probably would play more than five minutes a game just by virtue of that ability to keep up and contribute physically. I know everyone has stomped the crap out of the Shelley horse, but I don't post very often so I had to get it out of my system. It's all just so illogical.

Holmgren has to remain patient. There will be 7 or 8 teams who are sellers at the deadline. No need to make a panic move and pay through the nose for someone like Schenn who may not be anything more then a # 4 dman.

People have the right to complain after that effort tonight. Just ridiculous.

Their heads were not in this game last night. They, in particular the veterans on the team didn't want to come play. They thought they could sneak another ugly win in against this team and got burned for it. We'll see what the weekend brings, thats a better litmus test.

Sestito averaged 8 minutes per game during his 3 games I believe.

I like how Bryz was wearing a winter wooley cap on his head. Makes him look cool.

Yup. If the effort isn't there this weekend, there are issues.

I give this team a pass for tonight.

Whatever they were thinking/doing/dreaming tonight needs to stop before Sunday.

He just updated saying nothing new. If Schenn falls through, which it will if they ask for Reader, says Flyers back up plans are Gleason and Ruutu or Hal Gill. Shocking I know!

I hope I'm wrong, but back to back afternoon games have the potential to be brutal, especially coming off this performance.
