Why trade a 22 yr old defenseman with tons of potential? Unless he is a headache/cancer in the locker room.
- stveshdy

because your name is Pierre gautier and you are an inveterate saboteur.

I bet ya Burke is gonna realize he's not gonna get those other guys like the big names and he throws homer an offer he can't refuse for jvr
- griouxmvp2012

I would love that but JVR needs to be healthy first.

I'm not against the names being thrown around today. I'd love to take on Luke Schenn but only if we're getting more then Luke for JvR. I don't think it's unreasonable to flip a second round pick in the deal if it gets us both Luke Schenn and Nazim Kadri.

If Montreal is going to blow it up, why trade a young kid like Subban when you can move other guys. I dont get why he is available unless they dont like his attitude, which has been an issue.

I would love that or if we could possibly do this:

Schenn, 1st for JVR

I feel that if a deal can be had for Luke Schenn during the season, JvR must be replaced.

Why you so worried bout offense we need a nasty shut down guy that don't take no crap we have one of the best offenses in the league
- griouxmvp2012

because it is another need and it is harder to find dynamic dmen than guys like Hal gill. besides, today's game is more about quick puck movement and decision making. I have no doubt that schenn is better in his own zone at this point, but I'd rather have subban and add a so-called shutdown guy to play w/ him.

Bill said they were discussing two young defensemen in the press box. Who would you take, PK Subban or Michael del Zotto?

I'm most concerned w/ his compete level on the ice. if that's not a prob, than the rest could be a maturity issue and given his talent, I'd roll the dice if the price was right.

The Flyers need to make him one of the choices. If I cant get him I would take Subban. He can play physical and has offensive talent. Would really help on the PP.

Colton Teubert. A rare sort of talent.

It would be difficult but they might trade him to Philly. Carle is the starting point. You might have to throw in JVR.

Weber doesn't guarantee a Stanley Cup. Weber doesn't even guarantee beating Boston.

In the summer, see where Pronger is, see what else is out there and then make the decision.

Not sure we got a guy as fat as Dustin Penne to trade for him

No player guarantees anything. Who would you rather have Weber or Subban? Ill take Weber. I think my odds are much higher to win the cup with him on my roster.
