Reports out of MTL that Subban is available. Can't see MTL and PHI being trading partners due to playoff history but we have what they need- scoring.

I'm all for grabbing Subban. He's young and the potential is there to be 2 way defenseman.

What do you think it would take to acquire a young defenseman such as Subban?

I have no ideal why, and I have no legitimate reason why, but he doesn't excite me as a player.

Hmmm this is rather rare that you have been stumped by a player... Maybe there is a disturbance in the force..............

No idea. I just know we wouldn't have to throw away the future to get him. In fact, he would be apart of it.

He's a bit too mouthy, but the kid can play. I'd love to see him as a Flyer. He could learn a lot from some of the guys here.

Bobby Holik wrote a good piece on him the other day.

He is physical and has a great shot. Under this system he could flourish

Why not? He's 22, right handed shot, he's already shown plenty of offensive upside. I find the only real issue with him is the fact that he talks too much.

I don't have a why not. Like I said, I don't have a legitimate reason. I just don't feel it with him. I could be, and probably am 100% off base.

So you think Montreal is going to give away one of their top defensive players without asking for any good young talent back?

I never said that. They wouldn't be out of line in asking for Schenn straight up or maybe our first round pick for him straight up. If they asked for JvR, I'd want more then just Subban for him. I think JvR is the better player.

No. I'd consider our first round pick and a 3rd, like we did for Versteeg but that's just me.
