Rubbed who the wrong way? For like a week, Bryz was a star when all that Tiger killing talk happened. At this point we were on a winning streak. A week later the streak came to an end and the first thing people blamed it on were his comments on 24/7. The guy reads books and watched discovery channel and was voicing what he's learned. Somehow that's a bad thing. I suppose players are suppose to remain mind numbingly dumb and dull.

No, that would refer to the typical WIP fan where all this crap is usually talked about to begin with.

If you trade Scehnn and JVR, this is how I think it would work out...

Next season Jagr comes back, and you sign solid 4th liner.

Hartnell-Giroux-Jagr
Voracek-Briere-Simmonds
Zulnerczyk-Couturier-Read
Talbot-???-Rinaldo

Weber-Meszaros
Timonen-Coburn
Bourdon-Gustefsson

Following season you resign Briere to a contract around 3.5 million a year, and make a splash for Defense and offense with the almost 13 million freed up from timonen's contract, jagr's contract, and briere's contract. 2 solid second liners and Number 3 defenseman.

Read-Giroux-Voracek
???-Couturier-Simmonds
Hartnell-Briere-???
Zulnerczyk-Talbot-???

Weber-Coburn
???-Meszaros
MAB-Gus

Still looks pretty good to me, depending on who you can sign to fill those spots. Youth is still there, and your riding yourelf of high contracts and replacing them with depth players.

The comments made by Bryz aren't an issue. They're just words. Knowledge is power to Bryz, he likes to read and learn, so what? This is a far cry from Richards and Carter being accused of partying the night before games. Whether those rumors of Richards and Carter were true or not, I'd say coming to the rink hungover holds more effect on someones game then someone who reads and is a little out spoken.

I have many scars, none that big but enough that I look like a used catchers mitt on a good day.

Yea I would do it. Because it leaves us Giroux, Cooter, Read, Voracek and Simmonds. And it gives us something to look forward to after next year with our defense.

Except you have to do another deal to make it work under the salary cap. Trading Schenn and JVR for Weber puts you over.

Theres no question your going to lose two young talented players in JvR and Schenn. However, your getting back Weber who is only 26 and in the prime of his career (elite defenseman). Its something to think about but I dont know if it will even be realistic that Weber will be traded.

You're not understanding that Nashville has to agree to a Weber deal. This isn't NHL12, the deal has to work for both sides. Nashville is in the playoff hunt and you've already downplayed what JvR and Schenn bring to the table. If you don't think they're any good, why would the Preds? Zulnerczyk hasn't proven to be anymore then a 4th line player yet. Baby steps.
