Whats the common theme there?

Eagles "fans"

- jak521

I have plenty of Flyers fans stories but my point is they USED to happen a lot more than they do today since those 'type' of fans were priced out of sporting events. That said, I also remember Rangers fans doing some classless things like rattling their keys in the stands just after Pelle had died. More recently, I remember Flyers fans heckling DiPietro about his grandmother who had just passed away but that's all verbal stuff.

Hopefully the idiot who beat up the Rangers fan gets a year or two in jail for his actions. The fact that he has multiple convictions is a pretty good indication of the kind of low life he is.

Islanders fans will be just fine wearing their jerseys into Philly ... as long as no one talks smack. Just be respectful, enjoy the game, and everything will be fine. It's only when beer and being a loudmouth are involved (on both sides) that things get out of control.

I like the Islanders. I see a lot of effort and energy from you guys.

Thats it?? A year or 2 for a repeat offender?
Ill admit i hate Rag fans more then I hate their team, but no one should have that happen to them.

I mean a year or two as opposed to getting off with a fine and a couple of months. But yeah, I'd have no problem if they want to give the guy 20 years.

I'm glad all you Flyers fans are reading blogs about the Islanders..... I thought we were the doormat of the league? Plus the streak you guys got going against us I wouldn't be too worried about the game tonight.

For whatever reason the Isles are often the 2nd favorite team of many Flyer fans. Maybe it's because we tend to root for the underdog, and the Isles always seem to be disrespected in comparison to the Rangers and Devils. I started liking the Isles when Ted Nolan was your coach.

Hey guys,
Quick question.
I haven't seen any Isles games this year, but have obviously been watching the stat tracker. I need to fill a spot for next week until Eberle/Sharp are back, and I'm looking at PA Parenteau. It looks like he's been ripping it up this year! You have two games vs. the Leafs, who are struggling.

I know that the Isles aren't great this year- but Parenteau seems to be a pretty solid fantasy pickup. Thoughts?

Obviously not all Philly fans are d bags. But, I have to say, of the 12 barns I've been to, Philly fans were head and shoulders the dirtiest I've seen.

Got to find 2 points tonight.
Need to beat the Flyers for a change, and if this team is going to be serious about at the very least climbing into the playoff picture, they have to beat teams in their own division.

We got some help last night from the Western Conference. We have the chance to get within a point of the Sabres and climb over the Habs.

One shift at a time tonight. Steady, calm, smart.

I lived just outside Philly a few years back and went to 1 game wearing my Isles sweatshirt and hat. Had a good time, we actually won that game and no one even said boo to me. Of course I was not a jackass and just cheered for my team in a respectful way.

Who's Couturier? Could we have drafted him?

(I know we could have gotten him instead of Strome. Same with Fowler instead of Nino. Just saying.)

- Railbait

railbait, when you on team like flyers full of stars. its easy to get points. I think nino in flyers would be doing really well. so would strome.

With Cappy at the helm, isles cant close the deal.
Isles should have won up 2-0 in philly last time and we lost in OT.
Last week we completely outplayed Philly and its BobtheGoalie that stole the show.
Reality is its mental now. Laviolette hates the isles mgt and he gets his team fired up from the drop of the puck.
Cappy tells his team. "hi guys, follow rolston and go have a good time out there. Ice cream for everyone if we win"
