youre splitting hairs but youre wrong.

- LetsGoIsles[If youre at a bar dressed to the nines, making jokes left and right, coming up with some of the greatest pick up lines and picking up the tab for everyone, thats all well an good....unless of course there are no women around. you got nothign to show for it

if tavares is making his passes, getting to the corners, getting in front of the goalie, and setting up his linemates, thats all weel and good....unless of course his linemates are always a step behind him. he has nothing to show for it

You make my point for me though. Tavares is still essentially doing the same thing regardless. Like a guy who makes two identical picture frames. One painting sucks, one's great. Does that mean the better painting elevated his ability to make frames? No. Both frames were the same, only difference someone finally did their end right. So Tavares game has been and is elevated, only difference now is that someone is there to cash in on the gems he's creating.

I think KO has helped Tavares play his game better. I remember before thinking that Tavares had to spend far too much time along the boards since his linemates would not, and he wasn't able to utilize his talents in front of the net from the circles down as much because of it. With Okposo there, I feel like we're seeing a lot more of Tavares by the net.

KO being on that line has given JT the extra millisecond that he needs to make things happen. That, coupled with the fact that JT is a friggin beast, is what is propelling this guy into superstardom right before our eyes. It's amazing how guys prosper based on finding their roles. A few months ago I wanted KO on the 3rd line thinking he would never amount to anything more than a 3rd line player. Man, was I wrong. Whatever happens this season happens, but i gotta say watching JT emerge has been one of the coolest experiences I can remember in a long time as fan of this team.

From IPB, you can apparently hear on the video during the skirmish with Okposo and Schenn, Okposo 'advising' Schenn about Tavares:

“If you

- keaner17[bleepin] touch him again, I’ll [bleepin] kill you.”

AWESOME!

Couldnt really make it out, but its about time Okposo got mean.........I loved that he stood up for Tavares

Still laughing at the Boston announcers saying how much the Islanders miss Radek martinek. That was their reason for our struggles. He was such a huge part of our blue line. oh yeah.. huge.. for about 10 games a year.

He also took a giant dive on the staios hit. No way he doesnt miss a shift if he was indeed hit in the head. He wasn't. He just got nailed and then played dead to try and stop play/draw penalty. F talbot.

so funny.. I was at that game. When he was still down I was screaming.. get up Maxine.. the whole arena knows u are faking. He got up and I was screaming... IT"S A MIRACLE... HE IS OK... THANK GOD. any of you Flyers fans want to bet he is on the ice next shift.. he was..

He's done it in 37 games. We can only hope that JT develops even a bit more.

Since the current conference-based playoff format was introduced in 1993-94, the largest point deficit overcome to reach the playoffs (i.e., behind the No. 8 team) is 12 points by the 1993-94 New York Islanders.

What better team to do it again.

Did it really? Turgeon, Thomas Hogue as the scoring guys. then rest were all NHL castoffs.

I think alot of similarities. Defense had Kasper and Malakov. after that big fall off. You dont think Streit better than Malakov and that Hamonic, AMac and Jurcina arent better than Kurvers, Lachance and Pilon?

Let's just enjoy the win and the way jt has been playing and keep the playoff talk off the table for now. They're still 10 points back and only 2 ahead of the canes

Yeah I know. I'm just saying it's actually doable is all.
