Also yea I heard great things about Game of Thrones and with Season 2 starting in April I guess now is the time. Although I don't think I have the time you do, 8 hour long episodes in 2 days is pretty crazy - TPC
It was during my week off after Christmas. But it was pretty crazy.

haha your more of a fan then I am. I still haven't been up to see a game at MSG yet.
Although I try to make sure and catch them every time the Rangers are at Wells Fargo Center - TPC
The schedule of Flyers games up there this year stunk. Super Bowl Sunday. Dec 23 (and getting on a train the Friday night before Christmas was not going to work, I ended up working 'til 9 that night anyway), and another Sunday afternoon game (so I couldn't expense the train trip to meet a vendor). I'm doing a site visit for a vendor on Long Island and then he's taking me to dinner and the game. I chose Winne because I have no Flyers home game that night and I'd like to see Winne. I also have a Montreal game up there, same deal with a Manhattan vendor, later in the season.
Moreover, I think the league deciding not to challenge the player's veto of re-alignment shows that the league is being very careful not to take a confrotational stance with the player's union. That type of fight, would not have provided a good jumping off point to having to re-negotiate the CBA.

I missed that. Last I heard they were threatening (what would have been an unsuccessful) grievance and making saber-rattling noises. I'm glad to hear they backed off. They were in the wrong in procedure, no matter the content.

It's going to take Don Fehr sometime to digest and adjust to the mangement styles of Bettemen and his crew, along with what their proposals are all about and how they affect the union. I've already heard form the talking heads on HNIC, "Don Fehr has to understand this is not baseball". I'm quite certain that will be the battle cry as the league and their shills try to minipulate the media so that the fan base blames the players for any ill wind that may start to blow.

I have a great deal more confidence in the intelligence and savvy of Fehr than I do in anyone at the league. He is fully aware that there is a difference between baseball and hockey. But he's also perfectly aware of the limitations of the NHL league office and the factions in the BoG.
Having a guy that can lay the wood on the blueline the way that McIlrath does is a very valuable thing. I suspect that he will have to deal with the league discpline czar from time to time, but god almighty, this kid is going to be an absolute beast.

And you know he is going to be hated around the league. He is one bad motherfuker and its a good thing he is on our team.

I think he shows tremendous form on this check, he doesn't charge, doesn't leave his feet, perfectly glides into him. The question is whether or not he got his elbow up and is he so tall that he shoulders him right in the head or does he hit the player's shoulder first.

Personally, I don't think it's a suspendable hit. - jimbro83

I don't disagree. On a related note, Gord Clark raves about how good of a skater McIlrath is, and I think you can see it a little in that frame. Really great form, and really good skating ability to get to the spot to even lay that hit.
He is my favorite prospect in the system, although I will admit that Kreider probably is the most important prospect in the system on a pure need basis.
