Wayne Gretzky has said on many occasions that he believes Fuhr is the greatest goaltender in NHL history. This is mentioned in an interview with Wayne Gretzky conducted by John Davidson as part of the 2003 DVD "Ultimate Gretzky".

First year of a big contract, he should be fine next year, he is too good technically to consistantly suck. He should leave philosophy though...
- Habsody

He doesn't even need to be great. Just consistantly good. Which I think he is obviously capable of.

He liked Fuhr because Fuhr would try and practice and Gretzky would still light him up. If Fuhr is in the HOF then Osgood should be. Playing for the Oilers in the '80's shouldn't make you an automatic candidate.

Don't wanna start it again, but while Desjardins didn't have the same skills set as PK, he actually knew how to play in his end. Did you see PK play on the PP last night? He definetly has no clue what is team play, only indivual effort ending with nothing. Not to mention he missed the net about 10 times.
- Habsody

PK sucks, habs would be great without him. I really don't know what you want me to say. In the playoffs in 2010 and last year everyone was fine with him being the teams best D-man. As soon as things go to poop we blame the 22 year old 2nd year player? Sounds like a lot of BS to me. He needs to mature and get better, but I get rid of a lot of guys before him.

There isn't a team/fanbase without flaw. I don't understand these (frank)s that think they have some moral high ground because of a hockey team? It's interesting. I understand the Habs and the Canucks don't like the rough stuff, they didn't design their teams to be tough. Whatever. But then you read their comment sections and all the do is bellyache about being soft and needing toughness. It's insane.

If it was their teams that can play, have the most goals for, and the least goals against in the league while beating the piss out of teams as well, they would be in full on gloat, king of the world rant mode.

Looking at the Bruins thread, these Canucks fans can't let last season go can they?

Apparently not. You guys would be spared of my opinions on a much more consistant basis if there was meaningful Bruins discussion in the Bruins thread.

It's not really policed. Can you imagine the same thing happening daily in the Flyers Gayme day thread?
