I was upset!! Desjardins was a great D-man and Leclair was a key to the cup in 93..

I think someone was saying a couple weeks ago that no NHL coach had ever missed the playoffs 3 years in a row and kept his job? ... not sure if I got that right or not?
- GoneFullRetard

How many times did the Pred make the playoffs since they are in the league?

Edit: trotz missed the playoffs 5 years in a row.

I could believe that. I just have a hard time figuring out exactly what is wrong with the Leafs.

The fact that the D do so much fundamentally wrong, and the PK is abysmal points to Wilson... although it could be just too much inexperience?

The goaltending looks average, at the very best, and that is being kind. Is that coaching, lack of talent, the injury?, experience? poor team D in front of them?

... or maybe it is all about the team not being tough enough. I mean Ottawa was pushing them around.

The top two on my wish list has been 1) new coach 2) legit starting goalie.

Well they put back together the Kule/Grabo/Mac line the only line that didn't change every 3 games last year.

I'm not sure but I dare say Wilson probably would have been poopcanned by now if it wasn't for his personal relationship with Burke.

2 Overtime goals in Finals isn't a key contributor and 10 points in 20 games for a young guy??

I think the consensus among Leafs fans is that is 100% true. I am not even sure Burke would deny that.

Well there ya go.

I would rather have Trotts coaching than Wilson.

Also... wasn't that the first 5 years of his tenure, with an expansion team?

No, not when you're outscored by Paul Dipietro, Gilbert Dionne and tied with Brunet. I'm pretty sure they win the cup even if he's not on the team.

6'3 235 lb scoring wingers don't grow on trees and we trade him for Recchi lol let alone Desjardins.. Yep good trade - glad we won the cup in 97 and 98 with Recchi leading...

I didn't mind when you won in '97, but I was sickened by it in '98

Great young d-man, Leclair was seen as a disapointment at the time.

Ironic we discuss this after yesterday.
