I think St Louis keeps both guys for at least another year. Especially when you consider how much they gave up for Halak.

*knows St Louis will trade Halak for a package that pisses us off*

- habby

They will keep him because of what he did in the playoffs.

St Louis is in a very good position right now.

It sounds weird to say but Liles not in the line-up hurts the Leafs a lot.

More or less then when Armstrong is out of the lineup?

I could believe that. I just have a hard time figuring out exactly what is wrong with the Leafs.

The fact that the D do so much fundamentally wrong, and the PK is abysmal points to Wilson... although it could be just too much inexperience?

The goaltending looks average, at the very best, and that is being kind. Is that coaching, lack of talent, the injury?, experience? poor team D in front of them?

... or maybe it is all about the team not being tough enough. I mean Ottawa was pushing them around.

The top two on my wish list has been 1) new coach 2) legit starting goalie.

So you're saying he hasn't earned his extension?
- mr.peanut

I'm not sure, I don't follow their day to day. What I do know that the only consistant part of the team over his tenure is the teams ability to rank among the worst in special teams every single year regardless of personnel.

Leclair was 9th in the trade season..
- BingoLady

I don't think he was ever going to be that guy in Mtl. He got like 4 points or something in his first game. Playing with Lindros made all the difference.

I liked the recchi trade. At the time no one was upset.

More, I think Armstrong has played 10 games in the last year and a half.

I don't think the Blues see Elliot as a permanent solution.
Well, not yet anyway.

Hard to remember he was the worst goalie in the NHL last year.

I was upset!! Desjardins was a great D-man and Leclair was a key to the cup in 93..

I think someone was saying a couple weeks ago that no NHL coach had ever missed the playoffs 3 years in a row and kept his job? ... not sure if I got that right or not?
