You think he'll go out and pay (meaning, trade roster players) to get a top goalie?
- Pecafan Fan

Naw, he will be patient. Besides, who's is available at what price?

Asp made a post about the teams being close since Nov. I knew it was true, but I wanted to see how close.

so bite my franco-loving-fleshy behind part.

I knew he had a 100 point season, would have guessed everyone in the top 10 was higher.

I don't see how gretzky wasn't the greatest ever.

It isn't multiple holes he will create.

What worries me is that it is a numbers game with prospects and young players, especially on D.

At least a couple of the good young D might not amount to much.

Burke is taking an awful chance if he trades away 1 or 2 because they have depth now. It could end up being that we are as weak on D 2 years from now as we were 2 years ago.

I would rather he did nothing... unless we can get a good goalie without mortgaging the future?

- GoneFullRetard

Burke should take his time. Things are slowly moving in the right direction. Its obvious a few things need to change(coaching maybe).

I'd say Minnesota could potentially trade one of their goalie.

I gotta agree. Think about it. Leafs are something like 6th in the league at blocking shots. Yet are bottom 5 in goals allowed. I'm starting to put that in with the +/- as not a very telling stat.

Cripes, Habs, Canes, Leafs, Isles, Minny....all top team in that stat. Wit the exception of the Rangers.

- weirdoh

It is a telling stat it, tells you how often teams are allowed to setup in the zone and take shots at the net.

Conversation wouldn't have even involved the leafs if Maddox hadn't of brought it up. Arguing about the two teams is like comparing Campoli and Weber.

Very much so.

But I don't think it should be considered a good stat for a defenseman.

It sounds weird to say but Liles not in the line-up hurts the Leafs a lot.

How many guys have the Habs gone through in Wilson's tenure in TO? 3?4? Hard to believe he's still there.

Halak was great but I think he's a platoon guy...40-50 games tops.

I think St Louis keeps both guys for at least another year. Especially when you consider how much they gave up for Halak.

*knows St Louis will trade Halak for a package that pisses us off*

I don't think the Blues see Elliot as a permanent solution.
