Hey Asp...

Since Nov 1:
Habs 13-16-6 = 32 pts. / 35 games
Leafs 15-16-3 = 33 pts. / 34 games

In fact, forget about the whole month of October... since the first 5 games of the season...

Habs 16-19-7 - 39 pts. / 42 games
Leafs 18-18-4 - 40 pts. / 40 games

A lot of Leafs fans would be surprised by those numbers.

That is why I don't troll Habs boards.

Take away the first 5 games of the season and the Leafs are very nearly as bad as the Habs, for different reasons I think, but still, pretty much as bad.

- GoneFullRetard

If you were to split the two teams and take the good to replace the bad for both. You'd have a cup winner.

Top 5 PP and PK
Top Goalie
ok D
2 top 5 scorers (both Leafs of course)
Eller

They have been very, very good.

Doesn't change the fact that as a whole, the Leafs are a mediocre hockey team.

- Pecafan Fan

You are being generous.

They are .500 since the first 5 games of the season. That is a poor team, not a mediocre one.

Both teams suck...
- HABSFAN78

If Montreal had the leafs' lineup we would all be talking about how Phaneuf is top 3 overall amongst Dmen, Kessel and Lupul in top 3 duos, Gardiner in top 3 young Dmen, Reimer and Goose best tandem and how bright the future lays ahead...Leafs are not that good, but they're in a much better position than the habs.

The mistake Burke could do imho is trying to land a big fish in order to fill a hole (a top center) and create multiple holes at other positions by doing so.

No sure the blocked shots stat is a "good stat".

It essentially means your team doesn't have the puck... no?

- Pecafan Fan

proabably have a dozen of one and 6 of the other.

Atleast he is getting in the way of the puck.

But ya most of the teams with good shot blockers are bottom tier teams.
