Cost of bilingualism, approx. 2.4 billion per year from the Fraser Institute

National Debt, approx 550 Billion.

So, not having bilingualism clearly would not have touched the debt (I had no idea of the numbers and that is why my original post has a ?)

There IS a significant cost.

Really though my point was that we pay for all of this... and still, who is satisfied?

Which is why my post STARTED with that point.

I don't think you're way off by any means but then try to way the costs of not having bilingual services in certain situations...might not be as crippling but could be substantial none the less.
