He was assistant GM is Dallas before - Symba007
Interesting, although i think they need to bring in someone with more experience. I actually liked him as coach. He had his problems, but he wasn't awful.
John Ferguson Jr. is now the director of pro scouting with the San Jose Sharks but comes with managerial experience. He's very conversant when it comes to the language. The move to the top of the Canadiens wouldn't be an issue for him.

After serving as an assistant coach to Michel Therrien with the Canadiens from 2000 to 2002, Carbonneau moved back to the Dallas Stars where he worked as an assistant General Manager until his return to Montreal in January 2006.

You might have something there. And if you said merci beaucoup with that bad accent expect another 100$ coming from the mail - Habsody
I just got off the phone with Revenue Quebec, no english option right off the bat, so i went through the menu. Once i got to someone I just started speaking english, the guy cuts me of and with no accent goes "hold on one minute please", he transfers me to what i assume is the english line. An African woman answers me in really broken english and asks how she can help. I begin to explain to her and it becomes pretty apparent her English is really bad. I sigh and start speaking to her in French, explaining the info I’m looking for. She responds in broken French, I sigh, thank her and hang up.
God forbid a francophone has to go through something like that with the Canadian Gov't.

Point is, yes Price did give them a "chance to win" more than a few times this season. But at other times, he's been pretty bad as well. - Pecafan Fan
Isn't that tough to say though. I mean Montreal has been pretty putrid. It is tough to really judge a goalie fairly in those circumstances.
Just in general, it is pretty tough to tell if it is the D, the Goalie, or the coaching sometimes. Again, I hate to keep repeating this, but we have the same dilemma in Toronto. It is tough to tell who to blame.
If I had to guess, in Montreal, I would say the D is poor. The goaltending is very good.
In Toronto, it is coaching and goaltending, except for 1 D-man, who is HORRIBLE (Schenn).
I still believe Price is someone you guys can build in front of.

In hindsight...maybe you should've talked French to the first guy...
