My issue is more this: PG is not the guy long-term. If the Habs are really going to look rebuilding, I would rather the guy(s) doing that have a say on what happens sooner than later, where dealing assets may help speed up the process if there is a focus within the organization on the plan to move forward.

I have no real issue with the Gorges contract (if a year too long) and the Cammy/ Bourque trade, per se.

Re-tool is the right word. Lottery pick is important. You can possible move Plecs and AK for some value. If you have a well respect person as a GM, he will be able to attract some FA. It can be done.
