I have no doubt he's gone after the season. - habby
But that is the problem... you are stuck with him to get you assets for current roster players at the deadline...
Unless the Habs get their guy very soon, I suspect this might be a wasted deadline in terms of asset grabs, unless we just only focus on picks coming back. |

1 or 2 extra games via playoffs is not gonna make the team that more profitable. - JDJ
Nope, but it will be enough to save their jobs, and at the end of the day this means more to the management. |

Ok, i just thought id explain myself further as you really seemed to need it, its not so much that quote as the laughing and hanging up part. I like PK, and he should be a great player, but no GM in their (frank)ing right mind is hanging up when a GM calls and has Getzlaf or Parise ready to move, that, was a little too much. - shinebox
Or maybe you're beig to literal? |

Ill take the prospects and picks, as long as Gainey, PG, and Timmins arent the ones making the picks. |

But Molson reaffirmed his support of interim head coach Randy Cunneyworth and general manager Pierre Gauthier. He said a thorough evaluation of team management will come at the end of the season.
“We’re trying to stay focused on having a winning team,” Molson said. “We’re trying to turn things around.”
Molson said Gauthier has his support in the decisions the general manager has made this season, including the dismissal of Martin, the appointment of Cunneyworth and the trade that sent Michael Cammalleri to Calgary. The owner said he does not attempt to micromanage the team’s hockey decisions.
No changes will come before the end of the season. |

I'd flip Subban for either in a heartbeat. Me running you down has nothing to do with that. |

I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes, but he signed Gorges and seemed to make a good trade with Cammi. I want him gone as much as you, but I can wait a bit longer. There's no one else to bring in. I doubt he has free reign and I'm not as worried about Molson as others are. |

Not sure Bourque isnt gonna wish he was back in Calgary with Iggy when Lucic comes knocking on his noggin in a little while. |

I still find this hard to believe, from a franchise as rich in hockey illumni/ minds as the habs are, that there isnt someone that can be brought in to get this poop done, and well. |

My issue is more this: PG is not the guy long-term. If the Habs are really going to look rebuilding, I would rather the guy(s) doing that have a say on what happens sooner than later, where dealing assets may help speed up the process if there is a focus within the organization on the plan to move forward.
I have no real issue with the Gorges contract (if a year too long) and the Cammy/ Bourque trade, per se. |
