I agree, but Getzlaf is a playmaker, who benifits from playing with 2 guys really good at putting the puck in the net.
- habby

go sign a winger on the market thereafter.

size down the middle and big, nasty dman should be on the draft docket for Habs.

draft best available, and if you can't fulfill with big and talented up the middle, and big and nasty on the blue line, draft and trade or sign what you need.

habs have always had that philosophy, some have done well with it, others not as much.

Or no other team (cept TO) has 100s of people watching a practice and nit picking any little moment.

Grabbo and Kessel fought in practice, did TO panic and trade one of those "cancers" away?

- HuileHab

I never said panic and trade him, I said IF he is a cancer then he should go, and so should anyone else that is, that's all.

If he is not, then keep him, he's a great young player logging far to many minutes.

It is easier to shore up your defense then to get a big center like Getzlaf. Also, Gtez is not old.

Wern't they calling Grabo a cancer in MTL?
- mr.peanut

There was definitely some issues with him in MTL - I remember the game where Koivu had him pinned in the corner with Grabo on his back - Koivu was giving him some jabs and shouting at him - not like Koivu to do that

disagree wholeheartedly.

up the middle: Plek, Gomez, Eller, Desharnais.

what team are you watching?

Wings: Cole, Pac, Bourque, Gionta, Kostitsyn

Not amazing, but put Getzlaf down the middle with Gomez or Plekanec and this team is much, much better.

Get Markov back and the pp is back on top, but at 5-on-5, they need size and skill up the middle.

Speaking of Marchand...(ok, not really)...Foligno's hit on Phaneuf, clipping or not?

(I say NOT...didn't Phanuef have the puck and wasn't the hit waist high?)

You know, even if they lost against the Sens, I thought they played a pretty good game that night. I don't think the Rags game will become the norm, but they can win more games than they will lose with that kind of efforts.
