This team lacks the testicular fortitude to do what is necessary. Until we change whichever one of them is making the decisions, we ain't changing.

1) Bury Gomez, open cap space.
2) Waive Darche, Nokia, Campoli (if cant trade)
3) Fire PG, replace with someone with the ability possessed above. (Roy, Damphousse) whoever.
4) Make sure whoever this is has hockey experience, knowledge and instinct, then give him total control of team (Molson gives up all power)
5) Shop every option at deadline.
6) Start drafting intelligently.

I found QP.

I think you are wrong, i also think this team is horrible and beyond repair and retooling. Time to strip it all down and start over from scratch and let the kids play and earn their jobs.

You are right, of course.

I can tell you though, as a fan going through this, and being halfway through it... you need a strong stomach to put up with it sometimes. It can VERY frustrating.

You guys will have the HUGE advantage of having a legit #1 goalie. You also can't have a coach worse than Wilson.

On the other hand you will be a couple years behind where the Leafs are now, and you have a number of contracts chewing up cap space that will be difficult to get rid of.

I don't see another way. I am just saying it isn't much fun as a fan to go through it.

He was a very wise man. These boards are without meaning and direction without his sage presence. He always was too BIG for these boards.
