forgot a couple of things:

he's younger, has a higher ceiling, and his struggles will have him stay at a reasonable cap hit for a couple seasons, or one at least, before he blows up.

younger, cheaper, and he's a 28-minute/night dman.

he'll be among best in the game when he hits 25

I agree. I wouldn't want Kovalchuk either. But c'mon? Getzlaf? Parise scored 50 (frank)ing goals. Subban has done nothing.

write down what the D looks like after you trade Subban and say that again.

And the problem isn't what Subban is today, but what he probably becomes.

I think Getzlaf benifits more from playing with Perry than the reverse.
