And the way they tanked for Lafleur was just dispicable.

Since the Pens have been in the NHL, how many times did the Habs draft in the top 5? and the Pens?

You need to tell that to the Pens fans. Not me. The guy who said that was running his mouth all night until my retort to his tanking for Lafleur nonsense, and then whilst looking it up, realized he was wrong, and promptly disappeared from the conversation. But you know we are talking about a team that admittedly tanked to get Mario, and then tanked twice again to acquire Malkin and Crosby. So yeah, history seems to repeat themselves. Besides like Peanut said last night, we have to cut them a break, well because the Pens have only had a team for 7 years anyways. The majority of them fans on that thread are young dudes, with very little hockey knowledge and became a Pens fan a day after they got Crosby hand delivered.

They couldn't tank to get Crosby, just tanked every other year before that to get top picks. Which led to them getting the best odds for Crosby, and they end up winning it, can't understand why people would say it wasn't fixed.

It worked out perfectly for the NHL, even though I thought the Rags were going to win the lottery.

Ron Maclean mentioned something about Matt Cooke slewfooting Brad Richards earlier this week. Funny reaction by them if thats the case.

People complain about him every game here because he slew footed James Neal earlier in the year and did the same thing to Kunitz last night. The larger issue is he is reckless, and lifts his skates up in the air way too much. You probably don't remember that this was how Staal got injured in the playoff series against the Habs when Subban was a rookie, an injury that caused him to miss half of last year. At the time, I assumed that play was an accident, but as he's developed a track record, now I'm less sure.

Looks like the league fined him $2500 for the play last night, which is a pittance, but at least now he has a documented track record with the league.

Pens players are more likely to get head injuries, must handle them with care.

Honestly, Pens fans have had a hard on for Subban ever since. And have yet to get over the Staal accident, they hold on to bs and pout worse than Leaf fans. I can only imagine if Fraser had (frank)ed them in 93.
