I still hold out hope for Markov - braidan
If you're still hoping Markov comes back then:
1) You've traded Plekanec for what exactly in your line-up?
2) I hope you realize that even if he does come back, with a 3 year break, he's not starting in the top 2. More of a far superior Kaberle who will be there mostly for PP minutes (at least to start). |

Behead them, cept for Eller. - jaymster790
The guy is 22. It's time people will realize that he will never be anything more then a 3rd line center. |

If Markov can't play hockey again, does he have to retire or just wait home until his contract expire? |

I bought a pack last year and got a sweet Orr, Gretzky and Roy auto. Such a sweet card, I think I got 350 for it...can't remember. One of the better packs Sam and Dan bought me. - weirdoh
My grandfather has a huge collection. A few years back my dad bought two Crosby cards for him one with the Oceanic and another when he was with SSM. And he has a lot of rookie cards. |

You forgot to add: Gill, Campoli, Kaberle, Eller, Darche, - ShafterBenRaide
Why would you add Eller to this list?
Yeah, let's get rid of young guys with talent. That's definitely what we have too much of. |

22 is the prime age now? The guy can be a solid 2nd line player, definitely not a first line guy but he'll be a good one nonetheless, hell he's already pretty good, sure the points don't really indicate it but he has some upside. |

We do need a lot of 3rd line center on our team. |

He will do the Savard. One day of training camp and a physical entitles you to your salary. He will do that, and then drool.

Plekanec was still a 3rd line center at 22.
And even if that's all he turns out being, it's not like we're paying him to be anything more. A third line center with lessons to learn defensively but a higher than usual offensive upside for a 3rd line center....
ok, sign me up.
And then if he develops into even a second line center, it's a bonus. Yeah, on second thought, who needs third line centers. We're going to sign Getzlaf, Datsyuk, Pavelski and Carter this summer, we don't need any third liners. |

He is over evaluated IMO. If the guy could score he would of produce something already. He will play one good game, then disappear for like 4. |

I don't want to see him this season but HOPEFULLY he should be ok for NEXT year - braidan
assuminghe can come back, it adds to a 1 year rebuild if we can dump more of the deadweight and Price and PK progress in their development.
Imagine what we could do with $7.3M in cap space (other than extensions for people we have now) |

Plec and DD are both second line centers. And then we have Eller and Leblanc that will be 3rd line centers. It's time we start trading some players and get a legit 1st center for once in 15 years. |

Agreed, unless they draft one on June 22nd!
Then they could trade for a top d instead. |

He looked like a decent option at wing. If we're going to rebuild through the draft, Eller and Leblanc are both keepers. In fact, I would argue that if Kostitsyn asks for too much money and is let go at the deadline, then they will play together for the rest of this season and next season. All on the third line. |
