Price was smart enough to look in the mirror and find the problem. Pk is looks in the mirror to make sure he looks good.
- pete26

I'm not writing this to criticize Price or defend PK but how much easier is this to do when you're sitting on the bench and the team makes it to the ECF without you being part of that success?

PK will have this moment over the summer I believe (or I hope) but right now he's on a team having no success and he's playing max minutes with no one else to take his place. I think the comparison between the two is entirely appropriate. Not sure the results will be. I think for the sake of PK's career, it might be time to take a look at Plekanec being offered for a top-pairing D-man that might allow the next coach to tell PK to (frank) off for a couple games. Everyone complained about PK getting press-boxed last year by JM but does anyone argue that it saved his season? Can't do it for more than one game this year because there's no one else capable of handling those minutes effectively.

Let's not throw him under the bus, he's a young player having a tough season, on a poopty (frank)ing team. Eventually it gets to the point where he may feel everything he touches turns to poop, it won't be like this forever. Plus if you trade him now you aren't getting full value, it makes no sense. Patience is sorely lacking around here.

It. Doesn't. Matter.

They are waaaaaayyyy out of the playoffs and there's not a chance in hell they make it.

Start sending messages now. Bench him. For his own good and the good of the team in the long run.

And when you pass 8 coaches in 20 years, it's also lacking on the 2nd floor...
But agreed. Keep PK and sign/trade for at least one if not 2 top dmen.

This I agree with, he needs to sit a couple of games. He'll need that time, his head seems pretty firmly wedged up his arse.

Making mistakes is one thing. And I can live with that.

But making mistakes and argue that it's not your fault, well, that makes him sound like... like... Cammalleri.

I said it before, the Montreal Canadiens offer about as much stability as being the drummer in Spinal Tap. Part of it is because they don't hire the right people in the first place, this organization needs new blood, smart hockey people making the hockey decision, who isn't scared to tell the media to die in a fire.

If Guy Boucher was coaching the habs, having the season he's having right now in Tampa, he would've been fired by now.

Like Carbonneau was before him.

And Therrien.

And Vigneault.

And Julien.

It's not that they don't put the right people in place. It's they expect success from their coaches while icing poop teams after poop teams.

Sacrament... Somebody needs to tell him what he doesn't want to hear, whether it's a player, coach, alumni, family, whoever. The NHL is not the place to be heaping the blame on others or anything but yourself, that's politics.
