Thanks Pete.

He needs to mature and make better decisions.

The guy is 22 and playing under a microscope.

I don't think he was drafted to be humble. He is a high risk high reward player who's season can only be described as the worse case scenario for him.

We complain about the Habs prospects, team can't draft etc......... Name me one prospect that the Habs have drafted in the last 15 years that has this much potential. Dumping him now (and yes, it would be a dump), would be a huge step back.

- Ultimate Cyberhabs

I have NEVER said "dump" him. I've said, if he is that elite, move him for another elite d man.

If you can't, obviously you keep him, and get him to work on his attitude, and how to learn from mistakes.

Good luck with that next coach(es)!

I always was behind Carey, but during tough times he shut his mouth and was unhappy the way he was playing, he wasn' arguing with the coach that it wasn't his fault. I just don't understand why we are comparing apples and oranges here
- Habsody

I remember Carey staring down his players after getting scored on, slouching and not competing when things were going bad. Not so sure he was shutting his mouth either. There was a story during that time where Markov told him to show some heart and ripped him a new one.

The comparison is actually pretty on point, just that PK is much more flamboyant and outspoken than Carey.

what are the habs supposed to do? Play campoli, diaz, weber, kaberle for 20-25+ mins a game? or maybe Gill?Subban is playing bad but i feel more comfortable with him on the ice over the above. He and Gorges are the only two guys that are top 4 d-men on the habs roster. Maybe Kaberle if he is insulated with another solid top 4 guy.

Im comparing two young habs prospects that had promising rookie seasons and then slumped the following seasons. They were being (price) and now being (subban) put out to pasture by the fuucktards on Antichambre and some of the retards on here and hockeyinsideout.

So no, we're comparing two young prospects who had frustrating seasons. Habs didn't give up on Price, now he is a top 10 goaler in the NHL (Halak is a back-up now). Subban may never be a superstar, but he is incredibly talented. Giving up on him now when his trade value is low would be stupid.

Honestly though, I can't see any of this coaching staff coming back next year, which is a huge problem. Lame duck staff = players who won't give a (frank), especially those with strong personalities. Not saying this is right, just saying that it is inevitable.

Who care? It's not like Pk is doing any better this season. Teaching him a lesson and trying to stop his ego a bit is a good thing for this team this year and especially the years coming. Anyway, do you want them to make a push to see them finish 9-10 in the Conference and then get a mid draft pick?

Gauthier has really (frank)ed this team up.

I'll admit, I was happy to see Hamrlik go, but now I wish the habs had kept him.

I got all that the first time, and i thank you for explaining again but let's face it. The 2 have about the same superstar potential. One was humble, pissed off and took the pill when he was benched. The other is self centered, argue with his coaches and definetly not appreciated by his teammates. With all this being said, i don't think they are the same kind of players, let alone their position

Gomez is going to regain his 2005-06 form. Habs will squeak into the playoffs.

And that's a vet d-man, whose best years were behind him.

I never want to have to say that about PK.

btw, am i the only one who thinks that budaj kind of cost the habs that game? He should have saved the letang goal, and jeffrey's second goal (which btw Campoli had a very nice giveaway on).

J.Spacek: "Je suis content d'être loin de ce cirque"

Obviously translated into French, but in case it wasn't and he has learnt French since being traded.....dare I say...Spacek the next Habs GM????

- 25th CUP OR BUST!

If you saw the interview in English, he was more complaining of the circus outside the team (ie: English coach poopstorm, media, etc...) than the club itself.

of the 8 goals scored in the game, 5 should have been EASY saves and 2 were flukes.
