Nope, but we are in a good position to lock down the 27th place.

can't wait for this mess to be over...I won't sleep well until trade deadline passes and we still have our 1st round pick....then there will be that short while between the end of the Stanley Cup playoffs and the moment I see Nail in a Habs jersey on the podium.

Him, Grigorenko or Galchenyuk would do it for me, depending on how low we finish(low, lower or lowest)

it's not time to "tank." if that is the case, cammalleri was right. there's a losing attitude. the vetrerans, where they were worth something once, are now chips in the next great 'rebuild."

a core of price, subban, emelin, gorges, pacioretty, cole, eller is a start.

Trading Subban??????

Really???????

Starting to get pretty comical.

People wanting them to tank and play the young guys more, saying "We will live with their mistakes blah, blah, blah.........

Bullpoop.

The guy is in his second year and already, there are people who would run him out of town. Just think for a minute. It doesn't look like Marky Markov is coming back, which leaves who as our offensive D? Kaberlol???? Please. Maybe a few years ago but right now, he's Breezer 2.0.

Give Subban a break and show some patience already. He was thrown into a top 2 situation in his second (frank)ing year. No one expected him to be this bad but his upside, which he has shown, is the best this team has seen in years. The kid needs to mature and drop the bullpoop, I agree. Giving up on him after one bad season? Complete nonesense.

If a player has been world class at every level, then he must be given time to mature at the next level. #PKpatience #especiallyD #Habs

Can't agree with that. If you trade him for the right return i don't see how you give up on him. If the Sabres trade Myers for say Bobby Ryan, do you consider giving up on him or just a matter of fact that you have to give something good to get something good? Funny to see people wanting to rebuild by trading Gill, Moen, Campoli and all our garbage. They will fetch a very good return eh? Sure you get rid of them but at the end, you need to move some of your core to get something as good or great prospects and picks which, unfortunately, is unlikely in Montreal. I can live with all the careless mistakes he did this year, as long as his individual play but you have to be concerned with his attitude. After his turnover, we saw Gomez leaving the left wing to go right and you see the 4 players on the right, which should never happen but he had all the time in the world to make a pass and choose to keep it and then, when he had to keep it he gave it away. In no way he should have gone into a fight with Ladouceur. Just shut the (frank) up and learn the game, cuz he has no clue about team play. But man do we like his stints from the defensive end a la Bobby Orr ending with the puck in the stand. Last year he was puting points and had Hamrlik to play against the other teams' top lines. This year he doesn't and we are well aware that he shouldn't be considered an all-around dman like Markov, Lidstrom, Weber etc. To me right now, he looks like a more talented version of Wisniewski.

Watched the game last night with my friend who probably loves PK more than you, and even he, after he saw the incident with Ladouce, was like hmmmm, wtf is he doing, what does he wanna prove by picking up a fight with the coach and on the bench? If he stays, make him understand that he isn't a superstar yet and need to deserve his playing time. For the next 5 games, play him 13-15 mins a game no powerplay time. We can do that, we are gonna miss the playoffs anyway.

Sorry for the long post, my little daughter is watching the (frank)ing doodlebops right now

The bolded I can agrEE on, but good D-Men are hard to find in the NHL ( since last seasons patch work back there, I think you can agrEE ).
PK is a good D-Man and we have him already in the organization. We don't need to over pay to get him. All he needs is to be grounded more. The bolded part of cutting his ice time can only work once the team knows the playoffs are out of reach, because if they keep thinking they can make it, he will continue to log the most ice time of the D's..they can't afford not to.
He IS the best D we have! ( Gorges is the close exception due to his heart and what he does )

I gotta go, probably had more to say but the wife is nagging me to LETS GO LETS GO!!

Appreciate the post dude. I'm glad my kids are out of the eye stabbing kid shows.

PK needs to mature and that is without question. The issue I have is that he needs to be part of the core moving forward. I can't justify creating one hole to fix another. The prospect cupboard is pretty bare in terms of who can come in next year. The guys coming up like Tinordi and Beaulieu will need one year in the AHL, potentially more than that. We simply don't know.

By no stretch of the imagination do I think that PK will be the next Bobby Orr, but dumping him now will put the team further behind in building for the future.
