Maybe his point is that in the Habs current state, trading one talent for another talent straight up will not make the team any better.

Maybe his point is that in the Habs current state, trading one talent for another talent straight up will not make the team any better.

Mtls biggest problem right now is how they built their d core this year, I thought it was a problem even with a healthy Markov.

I didn't say that either. Look at the history of trading big time players, rarely do they get equal or even close to equal value.

I don't disagree, but it's not like there isn't a next season. And it's not like Getzlaf isn't only 26 years old? IMO he is a guy you can build around immediately. Subban, maybe you can build around him? Nobody knows.
