Not at all. I don't think trading PK for Getzlaf suddenly makes this team much better, that's my point.

I think it's a step in the right direction.. I think they can shore up the defense in the off season and their prospect can hopefully develop into good NHLers.

I'm not saying Subban is not good or that I want to trade him. If they take Plecks, Weber and a prospect/pick would be fine.

I guess the point is Getzlaf is a big center WITH world class talent. He's won a stanley cup and an Olympic gold medal. Saying that trading him for PK Subban is an AUTOMATIC loss isn't perplexing to you? At all?

I have a problem with that as well, it's his point that I agree with.

Unless it's Datsyuk coming back the other way it's an automatic loss.

Mtls biggest problem right now is how they built their d core this year, I thought it was a problem even with a healthy Markov.

I think the one not speaking about a trade rumour at a particular moment is the one with more credibility.

I disagree with his point. His point is that in 3 years PK Subban will be more accomplished and will be achieving things that exceed what Ryan Getzlaf and Zack Parise could do currently. It's a matter of hope and opinion I suppose. Maybe I don't see enough of Subban where I can justify that opinion? I just happen to see things differently.

I think it can be fixed with a good GM. Big talent centermen are hard to come by.

I'll bet you anything that if Getzlaf gets traded it's for less than PK.

Of course. He's two seasons removed a 50 goal scorer. Pretty much did it on his own(Zajac,Zubrus)

But apparently it's Gauthier who would be laughing.

Maybe his point is that in the Habs current state, trading one talent for another talent straight up will not make the team any better.
