not a single goalie in the game that I would sign that long. Too many things can go wrong. Sign a 5 year deal and then re-evaluate and resign then. Look at Miller.. the year of the Olympics he was top of the goalie food chain.. now

Agree with you 100%. Especially signing a guy to a 9 year deal who is already 31 years of age. That's insane.

Maybe we should worry about how long a goalies contract is after we see how they perform in the playoffs? Everyone complained about Danny Briere's regular season performances until he dominated the playoffs.

Laptops in the car is a nice feature. The guy I share the car with didn't sign out of his Yahoo fantasy hockey page, I just dropped every player on his roster.

He could win us the stanley cup and I would think the contract is stupid.. I like him.. think he is a heck of a goalie and has had a rough start to his Flyers career. I like how he expresses himself. I just wish it was not a 9 year NMC deal.

Our horse has been getting to many breaks. Time to take him out for a long stroll.

And if the Flyers won 2 cups and he has 4 vezina's after 7 years, will you think it was a bad contact?

*here's to hoping*

Obviously an extreme, just making the point that it's hard to not like something that hasn't happened yet. I understand being wary and skeptical, but until there are results, it's hard to say it was a bad deal, though you can absolutely say you wouldn't have done it and disagree with the risk.

I'm sorry if he wins us a cup then I have to dissagree. Snider has done a lot for the fanbase and team, if he brings us and himself another cup then be damned with poopty contracts.

I think a cup gets you a pass. Burrell got a pass after 1 World Series. If Burrell can do it, Bryz certainly can...

1 cup during the course of the contract and it will have been worth every last nickle.
