This season is done
- SABRES 89

right but since we anticipate the sabres will be playing next season, it would be nice to eventually know why our defense is playing so terrible, if we want to fix it...

Thought you'd be thrilled to know we traded the pick that became Briere.

1995-Nov-16 Draft pick rights traded from San Jose Sharks with Vaclav Varada, Martin Spanhel and round 4 pick in the 1996 draft (Mike Martone) to Buffalo Sabres for Doug Bodger
1995-Nov-16 Draft pick rights traded from Philadelphia Flyers with Martin Spanhel and round 4 pick in the 1996 draft (Mike Martone) to San Jose Sharks for Pat Falloon

The full trade.

Why does everybody assume that any team will part with anything worthwhile for a $6.25 million cap hit goalie who still has $12.5 million owed to him when he isn't in the top 30 in either save % or GAA?

This is going to be a nightmare of a deal if he forces a trade, and I wouldn't blame him if he did. Maybe we'll get a 3rd round pick back.

They're not going to get a lot but Miller's face is all over the NHL Network because he is supposed to be one of the NHL star players so maybe a team that needs to sell tickets would take Miller for something worthwhile, not great but not a complete give away.

LA needs to sell tickets.

It would be a Lombardi type move too.

But I doubt they make the move.
