I'm with you. If I'm moving him, it's for the piece this team desperately needs. Moving him for a player that we already have an over abundance of just doesn't make sense. Darcy may not be the smartest, but he's also not a complete fool either.

This is their "franchise" guy. If they trade him, you can bet they're going to get a something better than a clone of the players we already have.

Patrick Berglund is very intriguing, but it would likely be Berglund and another quality prospect for Roy and perhaps someone like Weber. The Sabres have always liked Carlo Colaiacavo, so perhaps Berglund and Colaiacavo for Roy and Boyes (going back to st Louis) might work.

yep and a model Captain...does it all including calling guys out, getting in faces, putting his team on his back, and WINNING....hes a beast, a tank, a saint.....there is no better all around player in the league

With him only being able to blcok 8 teams, and my guess is he would not block toronto, mnt, boston or ottawa cause he knows DR wont trade him there. So that to me leaves NYR, NJD, NYI, PITT, PHILLY FLA WASH TAMPA, CAR, WPG and FLA in the EAST....
IF he was smart he would then leave NYR, PITT, PHILLY and CAR off his list since they dont need a goalie. Thus blocking NYI, NJD, FLA, WASH, TAMPA, WPG in the east, and most likely Edmonton and Columbus in the West. That would be his eight blocks, and really only leaving PHX as a real trading partner for the sabres since the other teams are rather set with their goalies.

We know that, but a lot of other teams may not. They'll look at his stats over the years and think they're getting a quality guy.

with that list there realistically is not a team to trade him to. So, I if that would be his list, I dont see him really wanting to be traded, since no other team in the West would be looking acquire him, since the rest have a goalie just as good if not better than Miller already.
