TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun reported on the Canadian sports network today that the Buffalo Sabres are looking to change the makeup of their top two forward lines via the trade route.

He’s talking trade with teams. What he’d like to do is move a top 6 forward in return for a top 6 forward. Easier said than done. Drew Stafford, Derek Roy, Brad Boyes - those are names that I’ve been told are in play for the Buffalo Sabres. Not every team in the league is going to want to move a top 6 for a top 6, but that’s what he’s trying to do.

Today’s insane Bobby Ryan trade rumor involves… Ryan Miller

With the talk of Bobby Ryan being apparently shopped around by the Ducks, it only makes sense that we’ll get some wild ideas. Yesterday it was the New York Rangers kicking the tires and today’s hot rumor involves the Buffalo Sabres.

Bucky Gleason of The Buffalo News drops a little bit of curious knowledge on us saying that while Ducks GM Bob Murray was in Buffalo the other night scouting the Sabres, Murray has also called the Sabres about a possible Ryan Miller for Bobby Ryan swap. Hey, if you’re going to make a trade, you might as well go big.

While it’s just idle speculation for now, this rumor plays into what the Edmonton Journal’s Jim Matheson mentioned about Miller being OK with being moved. Matheson said that Miller would be all right with going to the west coast because that’s where his wife is trying to also advance her career in southern California.

Of course, Miller’s already shot down the notion that he’d want to be traded, but if there was anything to these rumors, it’d make for a fascinating discussion. After all, Ryan says he wouldn’t be surprised if he’s sent packing. There’s also the fact that Jonas Hiller is already being paid a ton of money to play goal in Anaheim already.

There’s a ton of salary that would be moving around as well and Miller has a bigger contract than Ryan. For the budget-conscience Ducks that’d make for a harder sell. In all likelihood there’s not much going on here other than GMs talking with each other, but the fantasy GM in all of us can’t get enough of the talk

Everyone at work keeps saying that I should get used to be constantly sick because it's a call center environment. I then remind them that I used to handle people's disgusting dirty phones on a daily basis before. If I didn't get sick from that all the time, I doubt someone coughing in a cubicle on the other side of the room is going to affect me.

I can't say that, but I do know that I was due for something. It was just a matter of time. But, I've been around a bunch of other sick people in the last few weeks, and haven't caught anything.

It's called having an awesome immune system. I had a cold back in November, but it was the first one I had since 07.

dealing with hockey: i wouldnt mind trading miller for a guy like ryan. if we dont have to give up myers who has been talked about in the last few rumors im all for it. i know miller isnt the problem wit this team but hasnt exactly helped.

Here's my question though....is Ryan a winger or a center? He seems to play both. But where is he really supposed to be? If I'm trading a major piece, then I'd like to know I'm getting a player that's filling a major deficiency on the team, aka Center.

I do really like Ryan though.
