yep

try to find a few hobbies to escape from life for a while

that has been my approach for the last few months

it allows me to over look some stuff, yet mumble to myself when out of hearing distance

- homiedclown

I drink.

Thats an expensive hobby.

I think every team would want a guy like Clowe. Backes is an even better version but he's not going anywhere (and neither is Clowe, let's be honest)
- AlexF

Not really seeing why the Sharks need to make moves at all right now, and Cowe wouldn't be where they started, agreed.

same could be said for vanek

wasting their prime years of their nhl careers with this sorry ass group of players

- homiedclown

Vanek is noticed in most games, which is a change from most seasons in the past. To me Vanek is a legit sniper, talented #1 line winger. Poms, not quite.

Just can't see Clowe being moved.

He's the heart and soul of that team.

Like Backes is to St Louis.

If available though Darcy better call because there's your captain.

- dadeadhead

bob errey was a shark captain at one time

I have no problem dealing Pominville for the right return. He is going to be on the downside of his career when the sabres are a contender again and his value may never be this high. Not to mention, I don't think he'd have as many points as he does now without Vanek. I'm just not infatuated with him as some sabres' fans are.
- GilPerreault

Pommer is a nice player...a good two way player who gives it all he has....most nights...but lately it hasn't been enough and he is by far not an untouchable.....and i still think he was the wrong choice for the C.....he is the least of this teams problems and i's hate to see him go....but if he landed us a big fish so be it!

Maybe, but Coach is one of the few people in our galaxy that likes Roy.

Won something with the Windsor Spitfires or am I remembering that wrong?

If his point total is normal and men are not squeezing his genitals in public its not a bad contract.

- DixonWard

Unless Uncle Lou is on his way out, he has no use for a player like Roy.

Also I like Parise but he's a winger. I'd like to get Zajac.

agreed, although I think he is out of position

I would put him at rw and park his ass in the slot

thats the problem when the gm builds the team with perimeter players

More to come.

But that implies there was something and then we'll get more of it.

If we get nothing then more is still nothing. e5

Most of this site is giving Miller a lot of grief but I just feel he has too much quality to have simply lost it all. If he really is on the block there will be no shortage of inquiries. That said, you have to find a team that needs a goalie.

When they matched the offer sheet, that was the time to blow this thing up and build around Vanek.

A real owner, president, and GM would've seen and done that.

I've finished a bottle of that in a night one or twice. @ $40 a gallon it gets pricey.

halfway point of the season, nobody, aside from gerbe, stood out with any form of leadership on the ice IMO

Yeah, good point. I don't see them subtracting much though other than Parise.

Miller has nobody to blame but Miller.

He was an above average goalie before the contract and has been every year except Oct 09 trough the Olympics.

The guy has one year, ONE YEAR with a gga under 2.50.

You had a point until getting high and mighty about who has the right to post. I wish the clown would refrain from posting pages and pages of gifs for the sake of it, but it's a free country, if not a fully democratic site. What I don't care for is you claiming who has info or what you consider to be a good insight, and telling people to shut their yap.

People can be as off base as they want, thank you very much.

- nfph

Whoever they were, the Detroit announcers last night knew their stuff. It was a pleasure to listen to their call, although the game was terrible. Sabres coaching probably would benefit by listening to it. Unlike the constant "the sky is falling" drumbeat at the BN.

Check out the posts before and after my temper tantrum -- you are welcome. Here's hoping for a clear W tomorrow night in Chicago, the first of many.
