i remember reading once that the highest rated beef in the fast food industry was grade B at wendys

this is a long time ago but apparantley there was a law in canada in place that didnt allow fast food joints to use grade A, it was too hard on the cattle market and caused too much waste.. so instead of grade A beef the fast food joints used up all the crap meat

- Dozzer

there isn't a grade b, it's ungraded, single a, double a and triple a

It's not fast food but my fav burger place is The Works. Mostly in Ottawa but they've opened up other places (Kingston, London, Guelph, Oakville, one is coming to Toronto soon). Lots of crazy toppings and awesome burgers.

Here's the oakville menu:

Peanut butter on a burger is better than you'd think. If there is a location near you definitely check it out.

Iv'e been to the works on Bank st.. Its okay,, they cram you in like sardines tho.. Too many options and a really messy burger. Being from Ottawa SHWARMAS DUDE!! Shwarma palace is my fav but there are lots of good ones.

Had an illegal amount of salt in it. Thats why they pulled them in the first place.

Remember the uproar with Taco Bell? Remember the "meat" they used to use was this grainy, pastey poop? After that whole thing came out about them not using real meat, they claimed they did. As soon as that went down the meat recipe changed, there were big pieces of ground beef now and it was way different. They never admitted to changing the recipe.

For the record:

http://www.kfc.com/nutrition/pdf/kfc_nutrition.pdf

It's the US nutrional guide (probably mis-named).

Daily recommended max: 2000 calories, 20 g fat, 2300 mg sodium.

The doubledown: 610 calories, 37 g fat, 1880 mg sodium.

And that's before your fries with gravy and pop.

And here's my favourite: you have the option of a 64 oz. drink. For those of you who grew up with the metric system, that's just a few gulps shy of 2 litres.

So imagine sitting down to eat your lunch with a 2 litre bottle of pop.

Mmmmmm, that's goodness.
