I remember my folks would always bring that stew home after a day of shopping. That would always be the meal if we were late getting back. One day i got a (frank)ing artery cross section in the meatball. That was the end for me.
- weirdoh

Think thats gross?

When I was living with my Dad a few years ago. He brought home these fish sticks.

So I cooked them, started eating them.

I bit into one, it was the (frank)ing tale. turned me right off.

Haven't had any since.

Cool... I got a nice popcorn maker for christmas from my mom... it's the same thing as putting it in a pot unfortunately. 2 TSP of Oil (I bought some veggie oil) and a 1/2 cup of corn. It's way tastier than micro and much healthier.
- HipHopisDead

I'm pretty sure I bought the same one for my sister.

Where abouts are you? I've got this new kick where I hit up Halifax Donairs in Burlington. (frank) it's amazing. Hands down the best cheat food there is. There's also a shop in Milton.
- weirdoh

In Guelph...

I remember Dinky Donairs in the old Bramalea city center... get extra of that white sauce that was kinda sweet (don't even go there)... and the steamed pita bread wrapped around all those slices of roasting meat byproducts.

Yeah, those are still good.

Their Beefori and Lasagna are the exact same. I opened both cans up, and im like.. wtf? They even look the same.

Even those are disgusting now too.

Does London still have Fast Eddies? When I was 18/19 it was home of the 29cent hamburger (I think...). I haven't had one since but I'm sure I'd rather eat used kleenex now.

Dude, I remember when I was younger

There was a burger bigger then the Big Mac at McD's. I think it was called the Big Extra?

Oh, and McDonalds Pizza used to be good, too

- jbold

yeah! The Big Extra!! the patty didn't taste like beef though.
The Pizza was a little like McCain's frozen, but it was still good.

McDonald's deserves a Michelin star.

The ones in the US are not the same though. I remember buying McNuggets there and they were all gross and fatty... like raw chicken skin. I couldn't even eat them.

But the Quarterpounder with grease is still good

Get a good pair of shoes.

For all the clothes, get on the Old Navy junk email blast. They always have some sort of deal going. You can go and pick up some socks and technical (i.e., breathable) shirts for dirt cheap. The stuff isn't too bad.

That's enough to get you going.

A lot of restaurants we go to now with the kids (i.e., "family restaurants") just serve the KD.

I don't have a problem with it - the kids love it, and for $4.99 or $6.99, it usually includes a side, a milk and maybe some ice cream.

But they should declare it's KD upfront (some do, some don't).

- Atomic Wedgie

Yeah for sure. KD is just one of those childhood memory foods ...can't imagine it ever tasting bad. Although I add a little more Franks Red Hot to it now.

Weiner's and beens is still on the list too. Love when the kids ask for it ...

i have never ever ate there.. even as a teenager i thought to myself.. a burger that cheap cannot be good for you

so based on that logic i'd go down the street and get taco bell instead..

no one said i was the brightest bulb lol

and yes.. still on highbury ave there is a fast eddie's
