Any Nash/Getzlaf/Ryan/Staal sightings at Pearson, yet?

Last year Luke got the big minutes and Komi didn't. This season Luke has been struggling defensively. He isn't playing as sound defensively as he can and should be. So his minutes get reduced. Wilson is in a position where he needs to make the playoffs. And in order to do that right now, Luke needs to either a) pick up his game or b) be sat down for a game or 2 so he can re-find his game.

Komisarek has been MUCH better this season than last season. And he deserves to get more minutes. And with Schenn playing poorly he just happens to take minutes away from Luke.

Fine by me. He'll still be around for a good number of years yet. He's constantly leading the league in take-aways and putting up ridiculous points. I'll take him.

so this benching of schenn comes on the heels of Komisarek's worst game of the season and one of his worst as a leaf?

Schenn leads the team in +/- and is second in the league in hits for defensemen in very limited minutes. A lot of times his partner has made mistakes and for some reason he has been taking the blame all season

Could be a trade but more than likely is just to make room for Bozak / Gardiner..

Gardiner got recalled yesterday after being sent down for 1 or 2 games?


Bozak will be back in the lineup tonight.. so that's why Kadri isn't playing.

Gotta make room for him.. and like I said more than likely giving Gardiner a shot over Schenn tonight that's all.. no trade all though It would be nice if Carter,Getz or Nash were on their way here today.

Yes, he is over paid. And last year he was atrocious. This year, while still making more than he should, he has been one of the Leafs best defenders. He makes too much for a shut-down guy, I won't argue that. But he's still been much better than most of our other d-men this season.

They needed to add some grit because of Konopka and Neil.

He should have been benched after the Sabres' winning goal on Friday. He looked like a peewee out there - had absolutely no idea where he should be.

Agreed. He makes one mistake and then gets about 13 mins a game for a handful of games. Komisarek makes several errors yet continously gets 18 plus minutes. I don't even mind Ron Wilson that much but the one thing that puzzles me is the way he handles Schenn.
