Well, Komi is sitting, so that's good.

Lombardi is good defensively, Kadri's been struggling a bit.

- Schenn-Sational!

lombardi has a 3rd of a season of games under his belt in the past two years.. are we glad we were patient with lupul? yes?

well it took him 50 games to round into form.. so using that as a base.. lombardi still needs another 25 games to get back on track

What he said.

Let's make this simple.

1) Bozak ready to go... sit least useful center -> Lombardi... and announce to the press that he's a really great guy, first on the ice last off, yadda yadda yadda.... 2) need better transition game.... replace the worst puck handling defenseman on the team (in the league???) Komisarek with Gardiner....
3) need added pugnacity then sit either Crabb or Boyce for Rosehill.

in what universe does adding Bozak to the lineup and playing Lombardi at the expense of Kadri make sense?

in what universe does Mr. handgrenade Komisarek play ahead of Schenn. For the entirety of his career, Schenn has been better when he plays big minutes. And he can actually complete a pass without shattering a team mates stick. I know I know Komi's really great in the room... blah blah blah...

Exactly. This veteran bullpoop has held this franchise down for years. The best players should play. Period.

The whole team has.....why Kadri?

And I'm sick of hearing about his defensive game and turnovers, etc.
He has half as many turnovers per game as Kessel and twice the amount of take aways per game.

His crappy defensive game is a myth.....fabricated by Wilson...

Because he's young, and refreshing him a game can do wonders. Stop making every little decision to be a big deal. This is quite normal for guys like Kadri for a game or two.

Go follow another team and watch how they deal with it.

it didn't take Lupul that long, he played 20 games with Anaheim before getting traded, and was pretty damned good alongside kessel right from the start.

Lupul you could see from the start had game sense. Lombardi? He skates fast.

The B's have sat out both MArchand and Seguin this year..as healthy scratches, and they lead the team offensively.

Best part about Komisarek is he is great a clock management.

If you are down by a goal in the third period, he won't let the other team cycle the puck and kill time off the clock.

By letting them score right away, your team gets to take the face-off 100 feet closer to the other net.

OK, I hate to say this, but since he has come back from injury, Komi hasn't looked that bad. In all honesty, I'd put him in tonight over Schenn.

Sadly, Schenn is my new whipping boy.

- Atomic Wedgie

Is the fact this is untrue the reason you hate to say it? Cause he's been dogpoop for 3 of the 4 games

How many goals did the Leafs score in their recent losses? Can't blame Kessel and Lupul for going a bit cold, they are playing with post-Bozak Connolly (read lazy) - need secondary scoring... seems reasonable.'

So yeah... lets sit Kadri in favor of Lombardi... or better yet... lets recall Dupuis.

Take a look at Ottawa. Karlsson is the highest rated player ... he's a disaster in his own zone... but he can pass the puck like a demon. Won't be long before the Ottawa press begins mentioning his name in the Norris discussions (insane yes but they will do it).

And Toronto can't find a spot for their arguably most creative offensive player... because he doesn't always dump the puck in deep enough?

Very rational.

he wont have lupul's offensive upside but when he is on his game he is an effective PKer and mid range point producer

he deserves a shot to get back on track..

again.. this is why the CBA needs to be modified in case's of long term injury.. someone like Lombardi should be allowed to go to the minors for a prolonged stay and not just 3 games..

make it so if a guy misses a season he can play in the AHL without a team having to lose him to waivers for say.. i don know.. 50 games or so?

I think that Kadri is not as accepted in the room. I think he's a little cocky in his interviews and it annoys some of his coaches and teammates. Not the kid's fault, but again the media. Doesn't help that he becomes hard to coach because everyone else tell him how great he is while management expects perfection not just greatness.

We can never develop a top tier player in Toronto because the media won't allow it.

- stevecarpetman
.

Maybe...but no team in the history of sport has treated a prospect like the Leafs have treated Kadri.

I think people have short memories. The first two years they crapped all over him.... both verbally and with their decisions.

I think he sounds cocky because he has to constanly defend himself. Any player that didn't have his attitude would of probably had a meltdown...
