P.a. Has 39 points. Has any isles player done that besides j.t. Obviously since palffy? Yasmin once? You keep p.a.

Edit: 39 points in 44 games to start year

I dont understand the ill will toward PAP. He's in the NHL's top 7 of assist leaders this season. He'll flirt with 20 goals by seasons end. He plays on the 1st ,2nd and 3rd lines without gripping. He plays with a little edge. And still the guy produces.

At least there would be someone with some emotion behind the bench, instead of a guy who you have to hold a mirror under his nose to make sure hes breathing.
- PeteM

This would be an awful Idea. Weight would have 2 lines of old guys on the team. No one will convince me the reason we signed Pandoosho, Staios, and traded for Rolston was not Weight induced.

Thats the problem: Wang DOES want to be a tenant. In fact, that's all he is interested in. thats why he pushed the august 1 referrendum. He doesn't want to pay to build his own arena. Wang has no interest in buying the land from the county unless he can build the lighthouse. Thats why nassau is a pipe dream and the barclays is a possibility.
- Jethro09

Kinda true, but Wang being a tenant under the referendum was different as he was going to take in the revenue from all events at the new arena, and only return a percentage of revenue as rent. At Barclay's, he would only stand to make money from the Islander revenue, of which I'm sure he'd be paying a hefty rental fee for use of the arena.

Hey anyone noticed that Soundtigers went worst in NHL to just a few points from being in tied for divisional lead with 7 straight wins.

Now if we could only get the big club to do that.

Btw, Puckdaddy posted that Line of Moulson, Tavares, Ko is the highest scoring line in NHL in last 3 weeks.

Aside from being asleep in 1st period of Nashville game, I think isles have played some of their best hockey in last 5 games.

I blame Cappy for re-enforcing the need to be read at drop of the puck.

Now lets beat Philly tomorrow. we deserve it. We out played them at Nassau.

I agree... and at least the power play looks decent, despite Rolston.
- wereallislanders

How do they insist on playing Rolston at the point on the 2nd unit. We have one of the hottest PP in the NHL if not the hottest and Rolston Unit has NO GOALS.

Not to mention he plays with a little edge to his game. He's not the savior of any problems but a future 3rd line of him Nielsen and Martin wouldn't be the worst thing by any means.

Isles did what they needed to do in order to win. On the other hand. The Caps did little to nothing in order to win. Considering their talent, their Salaries and their expectations. Caps are a bigger mess then US!

OV has become a thief. He's stealing his paycheck. What's become of this guy?

- SCLI

I would trade just about anyone not named JT to get him on the island.

I sat behind a guy wearing PaP jersey last game. We had this conversation and I said to him.. I agree on all the positives it's just he gives the puck away too much.. we then counted how many times he gave the puck away. It was 11 by the end of the Flyers game. He literally gave the puck away 11 times. If he just stopped that one issue... I would love the guy. I have met him a few times too and he is one of the nicest guys u have ever met.

unreal... I guess if you pay a guy over 5 mill you want to give him an opportunity to justify it??!! That and his 100 mph slap shot.. which at this point I call a 100 MPH dump in b/c he NEVER HITS THE EFFING NET!!!

Serious question...is there anyone you would trade JT for straight up? General question, not targeted toward you. I can't think of any player right now that I can definitively say I'd rather have on my team. I'm sure I'm gonna get blasted for it, but I can see this kid being a top 5 player in this league for a long, long time.

I would agree with that statement. I don't like him on the top PP unit though. Like I said.. he gives the puck away.

There are better players in the league. That said when u combine JT's talent with his willingness to be the face of this absurd franchise I would not trade him for anyone. If you got an OV, Malkin, etc. None of them would be the good soldier he has been on the island.

thats just it. I dont think his slapper is that fast anymore. I dont see many goalie having problems saving it.

lets face it. Rolstons Size, Shot and Youth is what helped in NHL> Now he is old and slower. Its a hard reality he has to face.

Isles wont be resigning him. They would be stupid to.

There are plenty of guys on this team that give the puck away and don't score, so there are much bigger issues then PAP. All the guy does it put up points on one of the lowest scoring teams in the league. Yet because he isn't perfect the guy is a bum

Nino and Rolston. Why does Rolston get preferred treatment.

Now while a get isles are putting Nino on 4th line so he can earn his way up. It seems to be working. he getting more confident and actually saw some PP time end of yesterdays game.

But why does Rolston get the free pass. Rolston played with Nielsen and PA, he dragged down the line. Now that he is on with Bailey and Martin, he is dragging them down.

Ive said many times. Bailey is very creative players. They need to put him with skill guys. We need Ullstrom back in hurry.

I never called him a bum.. I was just answering the "why don't people love him" question. I like him and have no issues with him on 3rd line. top line PP.. um.. no.

with rolston it's all about reaching the salary cap floor for THIS season...regardless of how he plays. Should be moved to the 4th line.
alot of people bashing pandolfo. played a good game last night ...blocked a keyshot in the closing seconds of the second period.

pandolfo is actually a better hockey player than Rolston. I have no objection with him on 4th line.

Pandolfo is serviceable 4th liner that can kill penalties. He's not nearly as big of a problem as Rollston. I don't love him by any means, but I don't think anyone had, or should have had major expectations of him. Rollston on the other hand is a waste even if he was making the league minimum. Let's not forget why he is here though. Get us to cap floor and get to Hunter off the team 2 years early.

The Isles have the 5th ranked PP% in the league, and we all know that it's not because of our 2nd unit. Our powerplay was on point last night and PA fit in perfectly fine. No need to fix what's not broken, first line is absolutely rolling now with Okposo on it and our PP has looked pretty damn good with PA on the first unit.

Not comparing you to this moron in any way, shape, or form but I had to school some dumbass on Twitter last week who wanted to move Tavares to RW and have Bailey center the first line. Couldn't grasp the fact that although we may not be winning any titles this year, you still don't change the only truly good thing about this team.

- Charlie21

But how "hefty"? Right now, the Barclays has no co-tenant with the Nets. It would be in their best interests to sign up a co-tenant to take up a guaranteed 41 dates per year. I don't think the rent would be eggregious, certainly not as much as would make it not worth it to sign a lease there.

The reality is, no matter where he goes now, he's going to be a "tenant". If they go to KC, the arena is already built there. He'd be a tenant. The arena in Quebec is going to be built i think by the municipality and he'd be a tenant there too. He'd be a tenant in Nassau, since the county won't sell him the land the coliseum sits on and he won't build an arena for the county on county-owned land out of funds in his own pocket. It looks like he's a "tenant" no matter where the team plays.
