I love Parise, but Kovy could triple Zach's point production and pundits will still call Parise the better player.
- Blackstrom2

That is because Parise makes people around him better Kovy not so much

Hey Ek, Lou is as quiet as church mouse and nothing gets out from Joisey so explain this to us.
- mhp

forget parise, ek believes that st. loo are thinking of dumping halak? elliott has definitely outplayed him in the 1st half of the season but will the blues gamble that he doesn't miss a step the rest of the way through the season and playoffs? never mind that elliott's a ufa at the end of this year.

- PhillyFran

If Halak stayed out of the NE Division, that would be great.

I was thinking the same thing. Elliott came out of nowhere this season. To dump Halak and ride Elliott would be a big risk (not saying it can't pay off).

What would TO need to give up for Halak that would make St Louis immediately better? I can't think of many assets.

"On the Blues... The Halak to Toronto rumors are building today...and that would be a stellar move in my opinion..The Blues are a fine tuned machine right now, and will try to get better at the deadline. Hitchcock is known for grabbing players he loves for the playoffs."

If the Blues are a fine tuned machine right now, would Halak not be an important part of that? Why would they want to rock the boat if they are indeed a fine tuned machine buy trading such a large piece?

It would work cap-wise though. You'd also need to add another piece or two.

it's a simple case of addition by subtraction, adding to the leafs because the hockey universe does in fact revolve around toronto

Well that's unfortunate you're having a hard time thinking, but there's a-plenty!
