I didnt say you have to praise him. But to simply rip the player and poop all over him is ridiculous when he hasnt even played a full season yet, imo. People are saying his contract is terrible and were not even done year one yet, I find that 2funny.

well i challenge him to give us a reason to say otherwise

Yes. I know that. My point is that Bryz knew what he was getting into when he signed. I doubt Homer told him "we're gonna dish the kid off soon enough, don't worry about it, you're number one."
- rockychocbill

The only time bryz looked good this year is when he played like 7 or 8 games in a row. He needs work you can't start him and then because the d puts out a soft proformance go to the next guy let him start like 5 6 even 10 games in a row

I'm just a sure that, if they could have gotten a similar return to what Washington got for Varlamov, that Bob would have been traded

Panaccio will be talking Flyers on CSN this half-hour.

Rehashing the 'Bryz is the guy' story, I'm sure. I really wanna hear what Domo and Smallwood think, though.

Last season, Varlamov was 11-9-0 with a 2.23 GAA and a .924 SV %.

This season isn't really a factor, since he was traded prior to this season. If the Flyers got 1st and 2nd rounders for Bob this past summer, Michael Leighton is the back-up and Bob is starting elsewhere.

I'd tune in, but there's a good test pattern on ESPN 8, The Ocho.

Teams seeking help on their blueline should get in touch with the Capitals as defenseman Jeff Schultz has been a healthy scratch for 14 of the past 16 games.

I don't make that deal. If Bob goes I want a proven roster player in return. Preferably one that plays on the blue line. Draft picks are a crap shoot. Bob has shown good potential so far.

Schultz is in the second year of a four-year, $11-million contract worth $2.75 million per season. Wish he was more physical for his size

Again, that's what was reported this summer. Right now, I wouldn't trade Bob at all, because they need to have at least one goalie playing well, plus they could lose Leighton on recall waivers.

Is Panotch the GM or coach now?

Of course he's going to get every opportunity. What the Severalli is Homer or Lava gonna come out and say? Bryz sucks and Bob is our guy now.

I misread his line on cap geek...That's still more time than I'd be comfortable with. He did play well with Mike Green as his partner. I'd rather have a guy like Gleason or Beauchemin, who they can decide if they want to extend after the season, though.

Same number that Luongo played last year. Like I said before, the situations are near identical.

Laviolette said that Bryzgalov has gotten the majority of the starts so far and that isn't going to change in the second half.
