So you think he will cost north of 3mill in a cap hit? I see him getting a deal comparable to Schenn, but no way exceeding it.
- jak521

Voracek isn't on a EL deal like Schenn is. Schenn's Cap hit is where it is, due to bonuses. Schenn's base salary is 900K. Not a good comparison for contract value between the two. I would estimate your looking in the 3.5M range for Voracek.

That situation (Weber) could play out like a circus, I'm still in awe how he erased anyone & everyone who skated on his side of the ice, with ease,
plus he's so consistent with his goal output every year as well

He & Rinne were hands down dominant the other night against us

i missed the game and didn't dvr it. forgot. wanted to see how he and suter specifically played, for obvious reasons.

would be great to have a legit threat from the blueline on the pp. other teams know we're not going to shoot. doesn't keep them honest.

And if I recall, it took the Flyers a while to get Voracek signed before this season started...

hard guy to find a comparable, but he's got a shot at 40 apples this year, which would put him in top-30 in league last year.

Weber literally swallows players up down low, and leaves them in a heap, while he skates away and outlets the puck. He did that several times in the game.

if mesz could get the puck on net, he'd probably score 15 ever year.

Ilya Bryzgalov is still the Philadelphia Flyers top goaltender.
Bryzgalov has a 3.07 GAA and .890 save percentage this season versus Sergei Bobrovsky's 2.42 GAA and .920 save percentage. However, that's not enough for Flyers coach Peter Laviolette to start leaning on Bobrovsky. "I don’t use numbers, you know that," Laviolette said. "Now Bryz has gotten a majority of the starts. I don’t know if that answers your question or not…Bryz was brought here to be a horse, and he’s received a majority of the games. I don’t see that changing." Bryzgalov is in the first season of a nine-year contract, so it's not that surprising that he has a ton of job security.

Ok Pete. If you truly beleive this and feel that he's the horse, play him like one. Give him 10 in a row, and see if he can sort this out.

They're still 4th in the Conference, so give him a run. At least we'll find out if this 'I need to play' talk is true.

Maybe, but you also have to look at his time in Phoenix. The Coyotes didn't have a Bobrovsky, they had LaBarbera. Bryz got most of the time.

The way for him to keep his head in the game is to be in the game, it seems. Why not give it a go?

So close to what we pay Giroux? I think Voracek has been pretty good... but I dont see him as a 3.5 mil a year player yet. I could see them giving him a 3 year 9.5 mil deal
