Don't wanna actually shake things up with a goalie change, eh Cappy? Nah, just keep that deer-in-the-headlights look on your face and let the kid get shelled this afternoon.

Were the goals weak?
- WayneZ

The first 2 were atrocious. The third that just happened was the defenses fault

No idea I lost MSG. I know our coach is weak.
- ses111

If it makes you feel any better goal #3 had nothing to with the goalie. Islanders defenders looked like parking cones. They just missed 4 empty nets in one sequence or it would have been 4 - 0. This kid is going to get shell shocked.

Yeah, im watching the preds feed since it is in HD and they haven't recapped either of the first two goals. That third goal was not his fault.

Jack strikes again. He just does a great job with these young players. The guy does not even know when to call a timeout or pull a goalie.
- ses111

If you can find him on youtube just watch him squirm and bite his fingernails after he calls that dumbass timeout when the Islanders managed to beat the Wings a few games ago and Babcock, a legit NHL coach just goes off on him... Capuano is completely out of his element in the NHL. The first thing they need to do in the off season is bring in a legit coach.

What kind of coach let's a top prospect young goalie sit for almost two weeks without playing? I should add Wang and Garth to this as well because they are the ones calling the shots.

No, that 3rd goal was a complete breakdown by everyone in the zone, but Poulin did turn his back to two players rushing the net. His positioning was afwul on the first three goals.

Whose brilliant idea was it to show "NHL first half highlights" during an Islanders intermission that features Crosby lighting up the Islanders, Doan getting a hat trick against the Islanders, and multiple clips of the Rangers?

In case you haven't heard Butch say it 18,261 times already this season, there's very little protection on the inside of the skate.

This team wins a couple then gets lazy. They know there is no pressure to win.

I thought Rolston's Veteran Stanley Cup Winning Leadership Qualities were suppose to cure them of this particular ailment?

The Isles have the worst vets in the league. They have done more damage to this team than anything. Isles call up a kid like Ullstrom and he plays fine and yet we cannot have more young kids in the lineup.

Tavares extended his point streak to 9 games and remains a point a game player. Honestly this is all that's interesting me right now. Until this team starts pushing the payroll to a respectable level by signing or trading for established players who aren't in the last year of their career, we're never going to make the playoffs.

At the deadline we'll lose streit for draft picks and a middling prospect, nabby for a fourth round pick at best, and the last 20 games of the season will hopefully be the last of cappy's coaching career with the Isles.

I've been following this team for 32 years, through one poopty owner after another, trading away my favorite players for players who don't even want to play with the Isles. This is the least interested and most fed up I've ever been with this team.

There is only so much you can take. Ownership and managment are not even trying. If they at least tried a decent trade or two and put Rolston in the minors and dumped some the other vets you could at least say there were trying.

Rolston and Pandawful should both be waived and sent down. If I remember correctly, the Isles would still have Rolston's cap hit on the books due to his age and when the contract was signed, but they immediately make room for Nino to move up to at least the third line.

These vets are killing this team. The only one that is even remotely passable is staios, and he's taken a number of stupid penalties this season and hasn't looked good, but he hasn't looked completely awful like reasoner, rolston and pandawful.

Kind of hard to send a message to the young players that they're expected to work when rolston and the others can coast each shift and screw up without anything happening to them. Bad decision to bring them in, but an unforgivable decision not to do anything about it once it was apparently none of these three can still play.

You can make mistakes, but once it's goddamn apparent its a doozie of a mistake, FIX THE F'ING THING

The reasons you give make it amazing to me any fans are showing up to watch this team. The Owner and GM do not care why should the fans. I said it before the Isles need record low attendance. Wang is not getting the message.
