Everyone have already written the ducks off this year. Remember the Devils last year making the run and just narrowly missing the playoffs? I think the Ducks could pull that off! - kgrpitt
I honesty feel that part of the reason he is so fragile is that the Oilers for years have lacked toughness to defend him. Robyn Rehger could have his way with Hemsky and their was no answer. One thing the Penguins do well is they defend their talent. When Hemsky shredded his shoulder on a hit from behind by Michael Handzus that when it occurred the Oilers just stood their and watched. If someone runs Crosby or Malkin or the Reverend Lovejoy from behind the Penguins answer right away. It doesn't prevent the initial hit, but it does prevent incidents in following games which can prevent injuries.
I'm not a huge supporter of Hemsky, but I believe that if he had that change of scenery and was put into a place where he didn't have the expectations of being the main offensive force he would thrive.
I'd be happier if the Penguins tried to get him as a UFA instead of through a trade though. - Ben37
Exactly ... why give up anything of note (good young talent) for a UFA in this instance?
Just when I turn things around and get above .500 I have to play Malkins Militia. - brianb0422
Welcome to the danger zone...my team has been struggling of late though. Ive been making an effort to build my team up to compete with JT and Gunner. It has come at the expense of my G and A. Still need a goalie and madcap2008 wont update his team or counter my trade offers
